I'm operating this dude myself tonight. This way. You're seeing behind the scenes action tonight. Heather is of course long went home, so I'm doing it from this side. Of our studio to be able to run comments myself. So bear with me as I run the videos and the written test practice, which is our trivia questions. Try to answer questions the best I can. We're gonna do the trivia here shortly, but when we do, listen to the instructions on how we're gonna do it and how I can make sure that you get credit for the right answers and especially for the ones where you get a prize. We're gonna give away first helicopter or I'm sorry, top 10 checkride tips. Then we give away a copy of Helicopter Checkride, both Amazon number one best sellers and then helicopter online ground school T shirt. So what I want to tell you first, we just went over the details, sorry of our big sale. Been working in here all day, getting tired. And we'll run those again at the towards the end. So we specifically answer the questions what exactly we're offering. But it's 50% off any membership, any option. It's a big deal. It's the biggest we've ever done. Okay. What's important is these questions we're doing as a trivia and just for fun and to give some giveaways. This comes from a written test practice that we have inside Helicopter Land ground school. We have it for private pilot, commercial pilot, instrument pilot, and certified flight instructor. So not only are you seeing how the written test prep works, today I did one and I downloaded my results, went through it real fast, scored 86%. Should have been 100, but for demonstration purposes, you can download a completion certificate just for going through it. You like if you want to prove to somebody you scored as you're practicing and testing. So you can take the practice test. You can also take the same test as a FAA wings test where after you complete, if you pass with 70 or higher, you get FAA wings credit. So that's pretty cool. So after you get done taking the hundred questions, you can go through and look at every single question, you can scroll through it. I'm going to show you in a short clip here. It's a minute and a half video, but it shows you how you can view every single question. You can print every question. I printed all 100 on 10 pages by using the settings and putting like 6 questions per page so you can go through study, look at what you got wrong, print off a sheet, qualify for wings credit. So let me show you that minute 44 seconds won't take long, so let's roll that so you can see exactly how this works. People ask all the time, can I review the questions? Yes. Do I get a certificate? Yes. So here's a quick video to show you exactly how it works. Hey, I just want to show you real quick how this works for going through this practice test. Now this is for just your own practice. This is not for wings. And that's what it says right there. So you can take this just for practice and then you can download a certificate showing what you scored and you can actually look at what you did. So I just ran through one real quick and I got 86% showed when I started it, when I finished it, because I actually was using it over a few days making some videos and we were playing some helicopter trivia on YouTube. So here's what's cool. You can see what you scored, download a certificate. If it's just for whatever reason, you just wanted to prove to your instructor that you had took a practice written test. Again, not for wings, but it's pretty cool. You could download the certificate. I did that. I'll open it up and show it to you. So there it is. Kind of cool. Let's go back and show you something else. So you can go down here and you can view every single question, what it was, see what you got right, see what the correct answer is for the ones that you got wrong. You can look at the whole entire thing and then if you want to, you can actually print it. You can print right here, print this page. I put it down to about, you know, in the settings, about six questions per page, 10 sheets. I had my whole hundred questions to take a look at. So it really is kind of cool that you can go in, test your knowledge, download a certificate if you like. Again, this is just for your own purposes. And then you can go through and view every single question and figure out what you got right and what you got wrong. Pretty cool, Alright. Gonna be completely honest, somebody else built that for me. I'd never actually went through it. So it's pretty cool. I'm pretty excited about it. So before we start doing some questions, I got to show you something real quick. Let me just grab this from here. This big sale is about eight years online. The sale started yesterday, March 1st. We launched March 1st, 2020. I'm sorry, 2012. Eight years ago today. Yesterday was when we launched. This is what I started with this little dude right here. That's all I had. And then I started ground school, built most all the videos with this and then got a little cheapy webcam. And then I was so broke and desperate, my sister bought me a cheapy Radio Shack mic, little lapel thing, had one channel. That's how I started. And this is. Heather made this and called it a shadow box. That helped me go back and remember where I started eight years ago. Right. So I just wanted to share that with you because it's a fun part of the story. You know, we got all this cool equipment now and got this great studio, but it's all been built over the last eight years, so it's awesome. I just want to share that with you. I'm so excited we're going to do. If people keep coming in, we're going to do trivia every night, try to do it every day. Might take a break over the weekend. We'll just see how many people keep coming back to play. So I already said, in case you're just joining us, two books and a T shirt. And last night we ran over for one question. So I'm starting with question number 22. And I'm going to tell you, listen closely. When you go to answer, you can compete with each other to see who's going to be the first to answer. Okay, we're starting with question 22. On question 25, I'm going to do a giveaway on who answers first. Question 30, I'll do a giveaway to who answers first. Question 35, I'm going to give T shirt. So because I'm operating this myself, when you answer, put in the number of the question you're answering, like 22. And if it's going to be A, B, C or D. If you answer D, put 22D. Okay. To compete with everybody else watching, see who can answer first. It's especially important on the 25, 30 and 35, because when I look in chat, then I can tell who answered first for what question. Right. If you just start throwing a bunch of A's and B's in there, I'll get confused and I won't know who starred, who answered correctly. The YouTube chat seems to come up pretty fast, so on those questions, I'll even pause for a moment. But that's how we're going to do it. So let me bring up the questions. Make sure I click on the right screen, make sure my audio and everything keeps going. All right, now we should have audio now. You should guys be able to hear me. Sorry about that. I'm glad that you guys pointed that out before I got that far, which is. Okay. We're all good, right? We're all good. Hey, I'm a novice, man. Just started doing this stuff Yesterday. They're good. I'm glad I got the audio figured out before we got to the winning question Next. So, yes, 24 is a. Is that everybody picked? Looking good. Yes, I am back. So there we go. All right, so we got you trained in. You can hear me now. I screwed up the audio, but that's okay. You. You can still read the questions, and you guys are doing good getting in there and answering correctly. So remember, you gotta type 25 dash and then the correct answer for the next question. This is for the book, top 10 checkride tips. So are you ready? Here we go. 25. I'll read the questions before I look over at the answers. So here we go. Which situation is not affected by high gross weight, high density altitude? Is it A, retreating blade stall? B, selling with power. C, loss of tow rotor effectiveness? D, icing. So I'm waiting to see somebody answer. You got it. Looks like. Joseph, are you first? Looks like you got it. D is correct icing. That is the correct. This is the one that's not affected by gross weight. I didn't see altitude, which you could probably argue that point, but that's what the right answer is for this tank. Best questions. So let me look back over here, Joseph. 25D. Looks like you got it right as far as I'm seeing in the chat, Joseph, you got it. 25D. So, Joseph, what you do is I'm going to type in Heather's email. It is heatherelecopterground.com so you're gonna email Heather at that address and give her your shipping address because you don't want to put it out here online for everybody to see. And tell her what you won. You won top 10 checkride tips. Tell her that you won the book tonight and give her your shipping address, and she will ship out the book. We have a whole great big pile of them. And so she'll get them shipped probably tomorrow because she cut up everything that we handed out yesterday. All right, so we're gonna do four more just for practice and for fun. And then on number 30, we're gonna give away paperback copy of Helicopter Checkride, my first Amazon number one best seller. And we're gonna do it. So let's go to 26 again. I'm gonna read the question before I start looking over answers because I'm a simple Simon here. 26. What has likely happened if a pilot experiences a yaw to the right accompanied by a large bang in cruise flight? Now, this is a counterclockwise question here. What has likely Happened if a pilot experiences a yaw to the right accompanied by a large bang in cruise flight. A. The engine has stopped. B. The tail rotor shaft is broken. C. When magneto has failed. D. The collective control pitch link has broken. Good, I see you in there. Let me go ahead and mark it. The answer is B. So who got it first? Who got 26? B looks like Jamie. Is that right? Looks like 26. B looks like Jamie to me. Tell me if you see something different. But that's the way it's coming up on my screen. So Jamie got it. Got that question. Alright, so three more and then we get the winner on the next one. Alright, here we go. 27. Which pilot action is correct if tail rotor thrust is lost in cruise flight? A. Shallow approach using the throttle to adjust heading prior to touchdown. B. Keep power and forward speed in if necessary to find a landing zone, then conduct an auto rotation landing. C. Conduct a normal landing as soon as as practical. Conduct a normal landing as soon as practical. D. Land at next available airport. The correct answer is B. Who got that one? Awesome. All right, here we go. Just remember, you know auto rotation and if you can go straight to the ground, if you can't fly until you have a spot, then re enter out of rotation. Pretty much about every POH will tell you that. All right, we're going to do 28, 29. Then we're going to give a book away on the next one. So let's go to 28. If a pilot encounters a stuck pedal in cruise flight, what type of landing is appropriate? A. Auto rotation landing. B. Powered landing using shallow approach and adjusting the heading with throttle control at touchdown. C. The pilot should conduct a normal landing. D. The pilot should kill the engine and then conduct a normal auto rotation landing. The answer is B. Alright, how many of you did it right? Looks like a bunch of you. All right, guys, you're doing good. Guys and girls are doing awesome. Gonna do 29 and then 30 will give away a book. So we're gonna go to the next question. 29. What has likely occurred if the helicopter suddenly yaws to the left? And again, this is a counterclockwise system. The question should read that we're gonna up. We're gonna be updating these questions very soon. A. Tail rotor failure. B. Engine failure. C. Tail rotor gearbox failure. D. None of the above. The correct answer is B. We've been using for years in the counterclockwise system. E.T. ever seen the movie E.T. me think E.T. if the nose goes left, it's the engine if the nose goes right, it's a tail rotor. Now, most of us learned in counterclockwise systems. That changes of course, in a clockwise system. Still a good question though, but we're gonna get these because, you know, more and more of the counter or the clockwise systems are being in use. Alright, everybody's doing great. You're doing awesome. You're answering correctly. You're putting the number and your letter. That's good because that's. Once I get done reading the question, I can come back and I can pretty easily figure out who got it. Okay, so here we go. On question 30, we are gonna give away helicopter checkride. Correct? We gave away. Yep, we gave away top 10 checkride tips. This is helicopter checkride paperback book. Heather will ship it out to you. So here we go. This one is the winner. Be ready to put your correct answer in. Here we go. What pilot action is appropriate for an engine failure? A, jerk the cyclic back and apply right pedal. B, roll the throttle off to the detent screw and apply right pedal immediately. C, lower the collective completely, apply right pedal and apply gentle aft cyclic. D, raise collective, roll off the detent and apply left pedal. By our chart here, the correct answer is C. So who got it? So this would be 30 number C. So I see 29. 29. Looks like Chris McKinney. Great. We're getting some same, getting some different winners. I like this. And if you think it doesn't show up, that's how it showed up in chat to me. Looks like Chris McKinney got that one answer. 30 number C. So Chris, same thing again. Email heatherelicopterground.com tell her where you live, what your shipping address is, how you want your address filled out and she will ship you helicopter checkride Again, we have them in stock. She shipped everything today from yesterday, so she will ship your book out tomorrow. All right, we'll do four more and then give away the helicopter all in ground school T shirt. Heck yeah. I'm enjoying this. I hope you all keep coming back because we've got some got some more days of this, some more fun coming up. It's good review. It's good review for everybody. It's fun. People are jumping in and competing against each other. I'm enjoying it. I like, I think it's awesome. It's good stuff. Good, good refresher for anybody. All right, so here we go. Number 31. What types of stored energy should good pilots have when in Cruise flight? A, RPM airspeed and extra fuel. B RPM airspeed and adequate voltage C. Altitude, RPM and airspeed. D. RPM altitude and 20 minutes fuel reserve. We harp this all the time training from day one. The correct answer is C. Awesome. I hope you're all getting C. That's good. Seeing a bunch of C's in there. Yeah. Jump out of the helicopter. No, that's not right. All right. Altitude, RPM and airspeed. If you've got all three of those things, you can handle about any emergency. If you're falling behind in any one of those three and you run into emergency, you may not survive. Altitude, RPM and airspeed. Very, very important. Alright, got a couple more before we give away the shirt. Let's go to 32. When flying at night. Oh, this will get some of you. This one got me when I went through it the first time, to be honest. When flying at night. What part of the eyes are we using? A, cones, B, rods C. Off center viewing D. Both C. I'm sorry, both B and C are correct. Which question? This is 32. The correct answer is D. Both B and C are correct. How's everybody doing on that one? Good. I see. Oh yeah, there's D. Alright. Looks like some of you getting it right there. Hey, don't feel bad. I had to review this stuff. This is one of them that I've always had trouble with. Got to run these cameras off here making noise. Give me a second here. I don't know why that's happening. I got everything set right, man. Gosh. Give me a second here. I guess I could go through them. How can I do this? So we can finish up. I'm trying to put the audio on that thing and it will not to save my life. I cannot get it to come back up. 1, 2, 3. 1, 2, 3. It's working for you guys there. All right, let's do it this way. You can hear me now, right? All right, let's do this. I don't have to show you the screen, right? I. I can't not give away the T shirt when I promised it. Right. So the answer was spatial disorientation. Just gonna read them to you. Sorry, I don't know what's up with that audio. I don't know. Oh, well, next question. One more freebie. Play against each other and then we'll give away the shirt. Come on. Go on to the next one. All right, so the next one is. This is 34. Hopefully you still hear me now. Buffering. I got one gig and one up down. Internet. I have the best Internet there is. I don't know why there's a problem. Hopefully you can hear me. Which term describes the night flying illusion that a fixed light is moving after a pilot stares directly at it. A, night myopia. B, spatial disorientation. C, autokinesis. D. Off center viewing. Anybody get it? Heather says clear. Anybody gonna get it? 34C. You got it. All right, let's do the last one. We are going to the next one. All right, here's your winner. I'm just gonna read it to y'. All. So when I bring up the screen, well, you know, I can bring the screen up and you can read it and then I can come back. Let's do that. Instead of me reading it to you, I'm just going to push it up on the screen and leave it up about long enough time. I know everybody has a chance to read it and you all just try to answer it. Remember to put in the number. So this is for the helicopter land ground school T shirt. Heather will ship that out to you. The winner's going to get that shipped out or Heather will ship it out to you. So here we go. I am just going to bring up the question. Y' all can read it. Here you go, man. Is this going to fail now too? What is going on? I should have restarted computer. That's my problem. Here we go. And yes, the answer is C. 20 minutes to 30 minutes. Who was the winner? 35 C. Looks to me like Greg. Good, Greg, because you were in there knocking them out. So we got three different winners. It's a bummer when you only get a few people and one guy wins all. The one guy wins everything. I mean, I have no problem with that. But it's nice that you were all in here competing against each other. You did a fine job. Next time I'll make sure I restart the computer. If you do any of this kind of work, I've had it on all day. You save your project, you close it down, you start helicopter or the helicopter. God, I've been here since 8am you turn the computer back on to start fresh. I just loaded up the memory probably on this thing with everything I've done today. So winner was Greg. Right? Greg. Email heatherelicopterground.com Give her the shirt size and your shipping address and she will ship your shirt that we've got a load coming in so depend on the size you want. We've got some coming in so the shirt might not ship tomorrow. So hey, thanks everybody for playing. That's awesome. I can't believe how many of you jumped in there, went at it, playing against each other. That is freaking awesome. I love it. I've been having fun with this. You get to see the written test, prep practice. And I'm going to roll one more video and get the hell out of here because I'm just too damn tired. So we're going to roll again, what the discount's all about, what the sale's all about. And then I'll come back and answer any questions if anybody's got some specific questions. Because now I got to just read the screen and talk. That's easier than trying to run everything and keep it going. So here, here's what we're going to have for the cell. Here you go.
