A short first-person YouTube video (creator: Kenny Keller) describing dangers and techniques for helicopter landings in snow. The speaker recounts an anecdote of an early demonstration where a pilot descended too fast and impacted the ground, and describes observing rotor vortices that lift and spin snow during a controlled descent.

Moving forward, starting up high, become the first guy that showed me this many years ago, was telling me how dangerous it was and show me how to do it. And he came down too fast. Couldn't see the ground. He smacked it on the ground. Scared both of us. So the guy demonstrating me, showing me many years ago, almost wrecked it, the helicopter showing me, and it wasn't an instrument. There we go. Hopefully you can see the vortices out in front of the helicopter. Hopefully you'll see a whole bunch of stuff going on behind. So I'm coming down nice and slow, got some good snow going, but I'm not in any danger. It's not going to get that crazy. I don't believe I'm pointing towards the wind. Hopefully you can see those vortices out in front, the snow coming up and spinning and turning in a great big circle. So.
