Instructor Kenny Keller takes student Todd through a helicopter training session, starting with paperwork and preflight checks before a one-hour flight. Keller says he can usually judge a student's progress in the first 10 to 15 minutes and will decide if more instruction is needed.
And once we go through the paperwork, I'll let Todd pre flight the helicopter so he can have his little one on one time with it, get to know it, maybe find something that I haven't seen so far. And then we're gonna go fly an hour and I'll evaluate where he's at. And I pretty much figure in the first 10 or 15 minutes, I'm gonna have a good idea whether, hey, it's gonna be an easy three hours or. Oh. Okay, Ty, we've got some work to do here, but I have pretty good feeling that it's gonna go good. We're class G. We'd have to travel anywhere to go fly somewhere. El ramp, right into that. We are good to go.
