Hello there. I'm Kenny Keller, the owner of Fort Wayne Helicopters and the creator of Helicopter Online Ground School. I help men and women pursue the helicopter dream. Have you struggled with all the information there is to know to get your helicopter pilot's license? Well, me too. I've made all the mistakes, I've had all the setbacks. It's not necessarily an easy road to become a helicopter pilot. There is some work involved, but like one of my instructors told me many years ago, hey, if it was easy, everybody would be doing it. And that's the truth. Anything of value or anything that's going to be worthwhile is probably not going to be easy. That's just life. So many years ago, after the failure of my first helicopter checkride, I drove home with my head held low. I was pretty devastated. I didn't go back for six months. I almost gave up. Then something struck me and I just knew that I wanted to finish. I wanted to get that helicopter license. I didn't want to give up the dream. So I went down to the local store and I got a notebook and I took all the notes I had from the different tablets and notes I had taken the different places I'd been flying. And I organized it all in one place so I would have one decent place to study. And then when I went back and I tested, I passed. And I passed with flying colors. I then became a helicopter instructor and I've been teaming helicopters now for 12 years. And I can tell you about the normal ground school from being a student and an instructor. Normally go in, you sit down with your instructor one on one, and he gives you instruction and teaches you the subject areas you need to know. And then you go home and you study on your own, which is all fine and dandy, that's the way it's worked for years. But there's always a need for additional help. There's when you're home, study on your own. There's just so many times, it just seems like, how am I ever going to remember all this stuff? And some instructors will just say, read the book. And I've always thought, oh, well, that's real nice, read the book. So I knew for years there seemed to be lots of available training out there for airplanes, but not much for helicopters. Many times students find themselves with a ton of flying time in their logbook, but not much knowledge upstairs where it really needs to be. Well, the ground knowledge has to be there before you can take your practical test. That's just the way it is. So whilst flying helicopter ems. I started the company Fort Wayne Helicopters and was teaching helicopters on my days off and I met a fellow helicopter pilot and online entrepreneur named Nick Logan. Nick's one that got me started doing blogs and videos and during that time he said, you know what? You should start a helicopter online ground school. And right off the bat it seemed like a pretty good idea because we both as pilots knew the void out there for helicopter training. So we designed the online ground School original 10 modules on my notebook and we went live March 2012 and now we're well into 2013 and everything keeps changing so fast it's hard to keep up. We have lots of new stuff in store and many online tools to help you with the helicopter flight training. So don't make the mistake letting your helicopter flight training get ahead of your ground knowledge. It will cost you your valuable time and your money.
