A short monologue (YouTube) by a helicopter tree-trimming pilot / operator (Kenny Keller) reflecting on why he still enjoys the job: primarily the recurring personal relationships with crews and landowners across the state, and the sensory pleasure of flying — especially flying with the doors off in warm weather versus putting doors on in cold months.

I absolutely enjoy this world. What I enjoy the most is meeting the same repeat people that I worked with five years ago. The same crews, the same landowners. I've met so many friends in this world, and that right there means more to me than flying a helicopter. I could go east side of the state to the west side of the state, north to south, and there's somebody in the area that knows me. And my dad always said, you know, son, you do good work, and people will remember yet and still this day. I'll do the best I can. I don't think. Jared, do you think we do? I got everything in there. I think that probably would be a good idea. Yeah, let's do that real quick. Cool thing about our doors. We can pull them off. Pull them off. And since I'm ferrying back to the airport to stick this in the hangar, there ain't no reason to have the bubble door on. This bubble door saves us. I mean, it just helps us out. Major, in the winter, I mean, we can work all day long, but in the summers, when it's beautiful out, we have no doors on. And you talk about heaven. That's where I love no doors. Beautiful weather, sun. I love doors off. Shorts, T shirts. You can fly and fly and fly. It's cold comes, you got to put the doors back on. Yeah, I know. I love doors off. It.
