HOGS Goes To College This Week In Kentucky! First Look Redbird Simulator For Helicopters!

Kenny Keller visits Madisonville Community College in Kentucky to check out their new Redbird helicopter simulators, including three configured for Robinson R44s. The college also runs Schweizer helicopter training and fixed-wing programs, and just got VA-certified so students can use GI Bill benefits.
Today I got my first look at the Redbird simulator. Very cool. Three of the six here are set up for the Robinson R44 helicopter configuration.
I'm at Madisonville Community College here in Kentucky. Their flight students are using hogs to supplement their in classroom ground here at the college and complement their flight training that they're doing here at the college. They have the Schweitzer helicopters. They also have a fixed wing program today.
So far all I've seen is the simulators and I have seen the helicopters put them a brand new hangar. So a lot going on at this little community college and they invited me down. We're going to be looking at maybe.
Some possible future projects. So I just wanted to get the word out there that, you know, my.
Training was all done part 61, study.
On my own a little bit of ground with instructor and get the ratings. People ask us many questions about attending a college for an aviation related program. So we're going to get those questions answered for you. So type them down below and let us know because I'm going to be here a couple more days and the guy that set up the flight training program is going to sit down with me talk about how they just became certified to do va. So if you're ex military and you want to use your VA benefits in airplanes or helicopters, you'll be able to do that here in Kentucky. And he has a whole list of reasons why a person would want to do it the way they're doing it here versus the way I did it, which is all new to me. And there are a lot of good reasons to attend college to get your aviation training. So stay tuned. I'll be here a couple more days. Anything you'd like to know about while you're there on the video, type it down below and I'll be sure and ask the questions over the next couple days. I think people are going to have a lot of questions about the Red Bird simulators. Very, very cool.
We are going to do a little video on that.
Talk about how much you can really use for training for your different ratings amongst a bunch of other flight training questions that arise when it comes to doing a program like this. So leave your comments down below and we'll see you in the next video. Peace.
