Kenny Keller announces an automated system that lets Helicopter Online Ground School members switch between six monthly memberships without getting double-billed. The system deactivates your old plan when you sign up for a new one, whether you're upgrading from private pilot to instrument or switching to the one-time Professional Pilot package.
Hey, it's Kenny with helicopter on ground school. Good news for anyone that wants to switch a helicopter online ground school membership from one to the other. We now have six monthly memberships. So now if you want to switch to a different membership, it's automated. And when I say that, that means let's say you have private pilot, you've had it for three months and you want to now switch it to commercial pilot. Previous previously you had to unsubscribe and then sign back up or sign up for both and then email us and say, hey, I signed up for commercial. Did the, was the private automatically go away? Or whatever the case is, it could be confusing between us and members. So a new option added to our site. Now, if I set it up correctly, when you sign up for commercial, it's going to automatically deactivate the private membership and deactivate the billing. Now I set this all up by myself, so I would ask as we move into this, this is September 2020 and we'll perfect this as we go. And I believe I set everything up correctly. So I would urge you to just double check your statements and make sure you take a look at it and make sure it works. And we'll do the same for our end. And if for some reason, of course, we'll always make sure that you get refunded and credited the proper way. But this automation was never available before and it's something the developers made new to us and I had to go in and decide what offers I would change to do what. So basically what I did, there are six monthly membership. There's flight review, there's private pilot add on, then there's private pilot, there's instrument pilot, commercial pilot, and certified flight instructor. So if you want to switch any one of those to any one of the other memberships, all you do is sign up for the other monthly membership that you want to obtain and then the system deactivates the one that you had previously. Let me give you an example. You know, sometimes people might have private and instruments at the same time and then you're getting double billed. Then you realize, well, I probably don't really need private if I'm working on instrument or whatever the case is now the system won't allow you to be billed times two, so it's less confusing for everybody. And as I said before, you would have to unsubscribe from the private and then sign back up for commercial or email us, ask us to unsubscribe the one. So you could sign up for the other one. And that's what we just always tell you. Okay, we can unsubscribe for you, but then you have to go back in, sign up again. So if you want again, let's use private to commercial as example. Just sign up for the commercial course and the Private Pilot Monthly will be deactivated. And I set this, I had to go on all six courses and make sure I put the other five in each one. So if you sign up for this one, it deactivates that one. So you'll will not be billed times two. And then the other big one, Professional Pilot, a lot of times somebody will, let's say they had the private for a few months and they decide, you know what I've decided now, I want to do this for a living and I want the big professional pilot package where it's just a one time fee. If you'd buy professional pilot, either you had to go in and unsubscribe from private or you had to email us and ask us to do that for you. And there's been a couple of times somebody got billed for private because they didn't realize that they had to under unsubscribe. And we didn't catch it because we don't go in and check every single offer in that, in that form. So once in a while that would cause just a little bit of confusion. And of course we could always refund the private monthly charge, no big deal. And we've done that, but now it's set and it's automated. So if you're, let's say again, you're a Private Pilot monthly member, you sign up for Professional Pilot, it is going to unsubscribe you from private from that monthly charge. So it's brand new. I set it all up, I went back and double checked it to make sure that it's all set up correctly. So now we just wanted to make it available and let our members know that you can now switch between courses. And this is very handy. Let's give you another example. Let's say you've previously signed up for private pilot and you're actually doing a helicopter add on and you just want the add on course which is basically just a scaled down version of Private Pilot. It's still the same the cost, but we've taken out the extras that you're probably going to not need as an add on pilot. So now if you want to switch from private pilot to private pilot add on, you just simply go to helicopter landground school or helicopterground.com go to that link and sign up for the private add on and it will deactivate you from private pilot. So it's easy to do. Again we'll keep an eye on things and double check and we urge you to double check as well just to make sure, just as a, as a backup to make sure everything is set up and running correctly. But I was really excited to get all this set up today. So I thought, you know what, I'm going to throw out a video, let everybody know that you can now switch from one to the other. So again, any monthly membership you can switch to another membership and it will deactivate your past membership. Or if you are on a monthly now and you want to take advantage of the big professional pilot where it's only one time for private commercial CFI instrument, you can do that too and it will deactivate your prior monthly membership.
