This member wrote in to say, hey Kenny, I work in Alaska flying fixed wing and have always been interested in flying helicopters. Thank you for your outstanding helicopter ground school course. You all did a great job. I was really frustrated with trying to learn helicopter aerodynamics. Thankfully I found your hog's website. I really enjoyed watching Dave Redmond explain effective transitional lift. Your website is nicely laid out. I just completed my commercial helicopter add on rating. Yippee. Now I'm enrolling in your helicopter instrument course. Thanks for a great website. Sincerely, Charles Perkins. All right, from Charles Perkins. I'm going to send him this video as soon as we get done wrap up. Hopefully he'll enjoy it. We want to thank Charles for sending in the pictures of him and his fixed wing job and then his picture from his helicopter add on. That is awesome. So that's the next picture going back up here on the HOGS Wall of Fame. If you don't know who we are, we are Helicopter Online Ground school. Been online 8 years and this back here is what we call the HOGS Wall of Fame. When people get through their checkrides, they're excited. They want to share their excitement. And I get that because I failed my first checkride many years ago and I know how much it sucks when you fail. So the last couple days we've been highlighting free resources and I see Daniel in here. Daniel's in here almost every day when we go live. Trying to go live every single day through these tough times. Give you something to do. And today I want to highlight Helicopter Checkride. There's a free PDF down below this video or around this video somewhere. There's a free PDF. You can just go to that, click the link, sign up for it and immediately download the PDF. I wrote this. I published this in 2014. Excuse me. It was my first book and I'm still really proud of it now. It's still a really good book. And I just talk in the beginning, just a little bit about myself and then we go through all kinds of stuff. So a great resource right now where you might be stuck at home with nothing to do or maybe you're stuck at home and you know you need to do something productive. This is. See how many chapters we got in this one. There's quite a few chapters in this. 18 chapters. About Me Practical Test Standards, which will soon be the Airman Certification Standards. Frequently Asked Questions about Learning to Fly Training Tips Wire Strike Avoidance Checkride Student failures in the 20 years I've been teaching, I've only had three people fail checkrides and I talk about those three and why they failed. Of all the hundreds of people I've helped in 20 years, only three of them failed pretty good. I'd like to say zero fell, but hey, you know, things happen, right? Checklist Usage 180 Degree Auto Rotation Tips Safety notices Helicopter training struggles the helicopter threes when you're doing helicopter training so many times, the number three comes up in so many different places. And I realized in training over the years that, you know, there's three types of briefings, there's three types of or three things to get you into selling with power and the list goes on and on. So I put together all those threes and that's kind of a fun chapter because I did a whole series of videos for a month back in 2012 when we launched this or even 2011, I think when I was getting ready to launch ground school, I did a video every day for three days. I'm sorry, a video every day for 30 days talking about the helicopter threes. So it was a lot of fun and those videos were fun. So we took the content from those 30 videos and put them into the helicopters 3. So that's kind of cool. Helicopter icing Kenny's stupid weather decisions I talk about some of the really dumbest things I've done in my 20 year career flying because we all do stupid stuff. Helicopter ems. I get a lot of people that ask me questions over time, you know, about EMS and what I thought of it and how did it go and what did I think of it. So there's a chapter on helicopter EMS and I based that chapter on a young man who sent me a whole list of questions and I answered his questions with video and then put it into the book. Is it all worth it? Questions from potential members, people that are interested in ground school going to sign up. Dave's checkride experience One of my early on ground school members from way back in 2012 failed his first helicopter checkride. So he wrote about it and sent it to me. And then when he went back he wrote like part two after going back to pass. And I asked Dave if I could put that into my book. He originally wrote it for himself just to document what he did. And I really appreciated him sharing his failure with me, which him, you know, he knowing that I had failed my first check ride, right? And I said can I put that in my book, David? He gave me permission to take his story and put it in the book. And it's a good read just for someone to see someone Talking about preparing for a checkride. And then what happened the day of the checkride and why they failed. So that's in there. And then Awesomeness Report, which is some of our testimonials from way back in the beginning. We have tons since again back there on the Hogs Wall of Fame that keeps filling up. We're working on filling out this side now. Then we're gonna fill up that one panel down there and then we got one more panel in the back to fill up. So this PDF free down below. Go down, click the link and you can sign up and download the PDF immediately. Free, no charge. Gives you something to do, gives you something to look at. I'm really proud of it. Like I said, we've been highlighting the last three days. Let me see who else is here. Daniel says, excellent book, tons of great info. Awesome. I believe Daniel has both those books. Big Bill Theory. Holy crap, I made it. Hey, y'. All. So the Big Bill Theory's here in the live chat. Give me a thumbs up if you would, guys. I appreciate it. 13 people watching. Not bad for kind of late on a Sunday night. My daughter's home, drawing and all comfy, watching a movie while she's sitting there doing some stuff. And I said, you know what? I'll run to the airport because I just feel like doing a video. Keeps me motivated coming into the airport, finding reasons to come in and talk to all of you. So this is a free resource down below. You can have it for free, the free PDF. There's a link down there for this. I did a video on this yesterday. This is top 10 checkride tips. That's down below. And also there's a link to our podcast down below. I don't talk about our podcast and I have it. And I don't know why we're going through all the Coffee with Kenny videos and have been releasing them as podcasts. And we're up to like day 100 and something now out of 297 days of videos talking about helicopter training subjects. That link is down below too. So you're sitting around, want to listen to some helicopter training related material. Our podcast link is down below. And then one other link that's down below is for our radio course, our free radio course. Two days ago I did a video on that and we went through the. Went through and took a look at what's in the content for the free radio course to see what content I liked and what I wanted to update moving forward. So we played that in almost its entirety. Watched the whole thing. We stayed live. We had like 30 people. So that was awesome. So the last three days, I just been thinking, you know, people are. A lot of people are stuck at home looking for things to do. It's a good time to study. You know, people have written tests that maybe are hanging the balance they need to do, or they're working towards a checkride maybe, you know, flight schools in general, probably most of them are still open, but there's probably some people that can't travel right now to get to their flight lesson. So highly encourage you to study. Use this time wisely because most people fall behind in ground school. That's just the way it is. Most people do not excel in the ground portion. They usually excel in the flying and their skills get behind. One thing I can tell you is, you know, I learned from a lot of really good people in marketing, and that's how I've learned to develop my business, is watching other successful people. And several of the people that I watch, of course, put videos out in the last couple days and said, people, now is the time and opportunity for you to catch up on things you need to do. You know, sign up for online courses, do training, whatever it is you do. You know, sometimes it sucks being, you know, stuck at home, but you could sit and watch four series of different shows on Netflix and waste a whole bunch of time or take part of the day and do something constructive, you know, something with your time. And so learning right now, especially online, is a great time to do it. So for those that had been thinking about signing up for helicopter land ground school, we had a big celebration the beginning of the month. From March 1 to March 15 for my eight years online was the birthday March 1, and my birthday was March 15. Some of the people missed the sell and because of what's going on in the world and people at home still genuinely interested in learning online. And I've been impressed with the people that have been emailing in, working on ratings and looking to work on their ground school. So that's really awesome. So we brought back the sell to the end of the month just to reduce the price a little bit for somebody that might be home or home or not wanting to work on a rating. So KK off is the code for 50% off any of the monthly memberships. It's pretty good discount example, the private pilot's only 49 bucks a month. So you can do the first 30 days of the private pilot for $24.50. 18 hours of training on the private pilot 120 videos and it comes with a 30 day money back, no hassle guarantee. And it also gives you a test flight, 21st, 24 hours, you don't even get billed. So I'm happy to see that even though things are weird in the world right now, there are people that are wanting to study and work on certain things. So that's awesome, man. I got a bunch of comments over here. Let me see who else here. I got to mention everybody because I appreciate people being here on a Sunday night. Let me get the right mouse going here. There we go. I'm only operating two computers and I guess only one camera tonight. Ross. Hello, Ross. Gareth, Aerodynamics. That chestnut. I've just recently got my commercial in Australia and now I'm trying error legislation for Papua New guinea, which I'm having trouble on my exam booked for the 26th. Awesome. Well, we have inside our ground school, if you watch the beginning of this video, this Charles Perkins talked about how he joined our ground school after being really frustrated learning helicopter aerodynamics. And we're really proud of those videos that are in there. Those are courtesy of our operations manager, Brian Rutledge. Brian went out to this small flight school in California and recruited three guys that were really, you know, fresh out of school and out there working in the industry. And he filmed aerodynamics from all three of these. And most of them are done by a guy named Dave Redmond. And it's a very, they're very simple videos and they just write on a board and it's not the most legible, but it still, you can see it in the descriptions that they get or they give for a lot of these aerodynamic principles are really good and they've got some of their own stories and things that they talk about to help them help you help anybody trying to learn aerodynamics. And then several other of us have videos in there along with those. But people have commented on Dave Redmond's videos and they really like those. We're going to try to update those somehow and make the screen a little bit more visible. But the content is really, really good and people really enjoyed that. So, you know, with our 24 hour test flight, if anybody legitimately, you could go in if you want to just review something. If you sign up for any of those monthly memberships, you get 24 hours before the system bills you. And that's free to anybody anytime. So you're more than welcome. Anybody, anybody across the board, you're welcome to sign up for any of the monthly memberships. Private commercial, CFI or instrument, you can go in for 24 hours, view the training. Heck, if you're just needing a refresher on something, for example aerodynamics sign up, go in, check out our aerodynamics section and then before the 24 hours is up, go into the settings and you'll find settings inside the HOG site. Go in there and remove your credit card information and you won't be billed anything. You don't even have to pay for the course. And that's part of what we call the 24 hour test flight. We call that 24 hour test drive in the beginning. And then a member said, kenny, why don't you call it test flight? You know, that would make sense. I'm like, yeah, good idea. So we changed it to test flight. So that's nice because anybody that's interested in our training for any one of those four courses, you can go in, take a look at it, sign up, and then utilize that 24 hours to look at the sections you want to look at. Whether you're needing help with an entire rating, getting, going through everything, or you're just looking at refreshing a couple areas, you're more than welcome to go and view any of those courses for 24 hours for free. Just know that before that 24 hours is up, you got to remove your credit card and you won't be billed. Now, if you sign up with PayPal, I do believe you have to go into PayPal and end the subscription and PayPal and of course we can always help you do that. But if you're nearing that 24 hour period, it's best if you do it yourself. So that's a really neat deal that we have that 24 hour test flight. So let me get back to see who else is here. David Carter. Awesome. Gareth. I did all my commercial license in a Bell 206 Long Ranger. Oh man, that's so awesome. I love the 206 still, hands down, one of my favorite helicopters. The instrument back here behind me, this is one of my top favorites. The instrument F28. I love those. I had the opportunity to Fly a Bell 206 for news reporting and 135 charter early in my career. And I enjoyed the heck out of that. And I would love to fly a Bell 206 again. Just me growing up in the 70s and 80s on TV, man, that's what you saw right? There was jet Rangers everywhere and great aircraft that held the. One of the longest records for safest aircraft aircraft ever built was held buy the bell 206 for a long time. So that's awesome. Big Bill theory. I'm on Section 3 of the Private course. I got the whole kit and caboodle. Good vids, awesome. That means he signed up for the Professional Pilot membership. That is not a monthly. The Professional Pilot membership. You keep all of those courses, private, commercial, CFI and instrument. You can get all four of those. Keep them. There's no limit. It does include a 30 day money back guarantee and there's no limit. You keep the training, it will be there when you need it. And that's 50% off through the end of March as well. Again, you know, people got to be careful what they do right now. But for serious people who are had been thinking about jumping on that and they maybe missed the sell, we brought it back. So that's 50% off till the end of the month with KK50. And what you do when you go to our site, at any one of the checkout pages for any one of those, you have a coupon box, you type five zero whoops KK50 and click apply. And then it'll show you the 50% off price on any of those memberships. And the professional Pilot course is a great deal. And we've had a lot of people this month that took advantage of that. And quite a few of them even mailed and said, you know, emailed, said, hey Kenny, man, I've been waiting for a long time. I wanted that Professional Pilot package, but I just never could quite swing it. And then when you offered that 50%, I jumped on it. So we had a lot of people sign up to take advantage of that. And that's awesome. So we love that. HOGS is worth it. It is worth it. You know, right back there. HOGS Wall of fame, man. The testimonials. I remember back in the beginning when people would say, well, do you have any testimonials? You know, in the very beginning there was a few, but I couldn't brag it up like we can brag now. Right? Every single one of those pictures is somebody who is a member or what has been a past member and has signed up for our ground school. And when they got through their checkride, you know, went out by the helicopter, snapped a picture, either by themselves, maybe went out with their examiner and had somebody snap a picture and then they send us the picture because they're excited. It just kind of started out of fun and people just started sending them. So a couple years ago we're like, you know, we should start mounting these on the Wall. In our last airport, we were in this old, ratty airport with old, nasty brown 1960s paneling. And we just started, you know, putting stickies on them and flapping them on the wall. And almost one year ago, we moved to our new location here and with our own private hangar. And we thought, you know what? Let's. Let's take the Hogs Wall of Fame to a new level. And so we got these studio walls that serve several purposes for us, but we painted them and turned it into the Hogs Wall of Fame. So we reprinted every one of those pictures. Most of them got destroyed pulling them down when we made our big move. So we reprinted every single picture. Heather went out and bought frames for everybody. And anytime somebody sends us a picture just like the one I showed at the beginning of this video, Heather prints those off, puts them in a frame, and then goes over there and puts them on the Hogs Wall of Fame. And it's just. It's. Members enjoy it. You know, people go. They'll sign up and go, hey, I'm going to be on that wall. And we're like, hell, yeah. Right? It helps motivate you to stay after the rating. And the goal is to get your. Your picture up on the Hogs Wall of Fame. And we occasionally go over there and do videos by it and talk about certain people. We have people up there that have their picture four times. Private, commercial, cfi, and instrumental, where they send us a picture each time. So that is really, really cool. Okay, what else we got here? Hey, let me go move my mouse here, see what else we got. Okay. If you really want to do it, you just keep trying. Absolutely. You know what? That goes with anything in life. And just like right now with what's going on in the world, we'll get through it. You know, it's easy to get down by watching too much social media or too much of media in general. Right. I personally got sucked in the first few days. I don't know, we'll say the end of last week, I just was watching too much stuff. I'm like, you know what? I can't do this. I watch the Live from the White House each day, get the press, and then I move on my day. Go find things to do, stay busy, stay active, because you can just drive yourself insane if all you do is sit around and read all the bad that's going on. So my thing is to keep working, stay after it, and we'll get through it. We will. We'll get through it. Awesome. Let's See, my theory school is advanced flight theory on Sunshine coast. And then flight school was Professional Helicopter services on the Gold Coast. Nice. Awesome. I'm going through. Okay, enjoying your course while trying to learn how to use the flight computer. E6B I think it's called. Yes. You know what, we have a section on the E6B inside the course and I made it and I just stood there with the E6B and what anybody needs to know, I don't know where mine's at. People get all upset about the E6B. Oh my God. You know, and especially during a checkride they get nervous and we train everybody. Almost anything the examiner is going to ask you on that private pilot checkride, the formula is right there on the front. And people forget that sometimes. So as long as you've been, someone has shown you or you've went through our course and looked at it, you can figure it out. Even if you're kind of nervous or even if you haven't used it in a while, don't forget that the formula for the time, speed and distance problems, they're right there on the front of the E6B. So little tip there. And I've seen people choking check rides where the examiners asking well hey, let's say we wanted to refigure that fuel, how many minutes to so far or whatever. And then somebody sits there and they freeze. They can't remember how to. And they're dialing it around and they're freaking out, they forget the formula is right on there. So the E6B is not that bad if you just learn the basics of it and remember that almost anything you want to do with that is either on the front or the back. There's little directions that tell you exactly what to do. Awesome. Randy from San Diego, did you get? Oh yeah man, I love San Diego. Can't wait to go back. I was just in San Diego. Well, right after heli expo and well, I go to California any chance I get. I love California and I especially love San Diego. Love going to San Diego any frickin chance I get and I see Jim Hardy here. Awesome. So heck, 22 people kind of late on Sunday night. That's awesome. So again we rolled in case you're late. This is very short. Let me just roll this for you. If you came in and didn't see the beginning of our video, this will take 15 seconds. But check out this member who just sent this to me just today. He just sent me this to me, sent this to me today. This member wrote in to say hey Kenny, I work in Alaska flying fixed wing and have always been interested in flying helicopters. Thank you for your outstanding helicopter ground school course. You all did a great job. I was really frustrated with trying to learn helicopter aerodynamics. Thankfully I found your hog's website. I really enjoyed watching Dave Redmond explain effective translational lift. Your website is nicely laid out. I just completed my commercial helicopter add on rating. Yippee. Now I'm enrolling in your helicopter instrument course. Thanks for a great website. Sincerely, Charles Perkins so thanks again Charles Perkins. We read every single one of those. Well of course we do, because then we take them up and put them on the wall and a lot of times I try to throw them into a video just to acknowledge people. And people love it. We love it. We like sharing your success. That's what drives us. That's what keeps us going. Ever have a chance to see and pilot chat with Kman K Max? No, never been around one. I've seen the pictures but that's about it. That's about all I can tell you. Alright, well it's Sunday night so I'll just wrap up what the video was about today. We just showed you the intro. Congratulations Charles Perkins. And we got free stuff for you. Free PDF Helicopter Checkride. The link is down below. Again I did that. It's Amazon number one best seller. You can go buy it on Amazon if you like. But heck you can just download the PDF for free. It'll be there for you on your device anytime you want to read it. Pretty good book. I'm still pretty proud of it to this day. And then same thing. Top 10 checkride free PDF is down below as well that you can check it out. Taz Chrisman 2018 flying strike during the year and I did this together. This is specifically 10 tips for the test plus a bonus section where he went out and spoke with examiners in the Las Vegas area and got straight from the examiner. What are people screwing up? What are the problems that you can continually see when someone shows up for a checkride? So that's a bonus section in the book. Totally free. Our podcast link is down there if you want to go check out our podcast. We got a lot of time and effort in that. Heather's been doing those for a couple months and I haven't even been promoting it. Which is dumb as me as a businessman because some people really enjoy an audio podcast. And like I said, we're in day 100 and something. Out of 297 days, every day a new one comes out. And I started podcasting many years ago, so there's hundreds in there. But right now, we're running the Coffee with Kenny videos that people really enjoyed was a lot of fun. And then free radio course. That's the other link that's down below the last three days. I just thought, you know, what should throw out there? All the free courses and things that we have, and free PDFs when people are home looking for something to do. Great time for people to study. Let's see. Dave Redmond has this black belt and cfi. Dave Redmond's a madman. And he has now went on to do commercial flying. And like I said, Brian Rutledge, operations manager, originally set all that up, and he's occasionally in contact with Dave, and he said he would try to see if we could get Dave back sometimes, like a, you know, a guest. Guest appearance or maybe help us reduce some of those videos. People really enjoy the Dave Redmond video, so maybe we can get Dave back. He just has some. Really. Most of the things. What he's describing, the aerodynamics, you know, everybody has their own way of describing things, right? And every instructor that you work with and you learn from, everybody has a different way of teaching, right? So it's always interesting to use multiple instructors and multiple sources and references, because one person may explain it a certain way and you kind of kind of scratch your head. The next person may explain it in a way that you go, oh, yeah, you know? And people really do like the Dave Redmond videos. That's no doubt. So we'll see if we can't get Dave back one of these days. Awesome. Okay, another question. One question. Before I was doing autos with my instructor a while ago, as we flared and would power back, the compressor stalled and RPM bled and kind of hit a little hard, and we flew back to the base, shut down. And I look. Look over the machine and notice a chip of paint off the mast. So there was contact. How bad would you have to hit to be unsafe in the Long Ranger, man? That's a. That's a question for a maintenance guy. But if something that happened where something got chipped, that would be something that I would say needs maintenance action. So hopefully, wherever it was you were flying, hopefully they contacted maintenance and had it looked at. Just from what, you know, this is just a quick comment in a chat, but from what I'm reading, man, I would say I would. I would confront those people and say, did you have maintenance check that, by the way? Because anytime you're in doubt, about anything that, anything that goes on with an aircraft. Of course, you should always talk to a mechanic, right? Particularly the people that are going to be working on your specific aircraft. Never take for granted that something's just going to be okay. That's one thing that as students and as pilots, commercial pilots or renter pilots, when something goofy happens, we have to have the guts to go to the flight school or the person that owns it doing the rental or you're in a professional environment, you got to have the guts to go to whoever's in charge and say, hey, this happened while I was in flight. And they always want to know what happened, how long did it happen, what did, what were you doing when it happened, what happened after it happened. And you always want to go give as many details as you can for maintenance. So to answer that question, I would say that would definitely need to have the mechanics take a look at that big Bill theory. Definitely a good idea. Glad you're helping to push people self quarantining. Yeah, I'm lucky. This is one reason why I really like an online business. You know, I think Heather's gonna still be coming in the next couple weeks and we're in Indiana. So, you know, we all have the be careful, stay at home type of thing. But I could jump in my jeep, drive to the airport. I don't have to interact with anyone. Boom, right into the hangar. So I'm thankful that I am at a private hangar. Hopefully they keep the airport open and I hope that I'm able to get in here. Every day I do. One thing I'm going to do, since we're talking about it, one of the guys that I watch, legend in the marketing industry, I mean, they write about this guy in Forbes magazine and all that kind of stuff. And he did a video from home today and he showed how, you know, he's got a studio. And he goes, I can't even get to my studio. Before they closed things down, I went and got some equipment. And he goes, here's my home office. And I told Gloria and my daughter earlier today, I'm like, I need to go to the airport and grab a few things just in case it gets to the point that I can't travel to the airport here right now. Here in the Midwest, we can still move about freely, but I'm going to take some equipment home so that in the event it gets to the point that I can't travel to the airport, I would go nuts if I didn't have some cameras at home. And I Can just set me up a little part time mini studio at home. I've done lots of videos from my home in the, over the years, so it doesn't bother me to do videos from home. I love doing it. I just have, there's, I have more, of course, options when I'm here. I have a helicopter right here. You know, I go over and talk about rotor blades and angle of attack and all that kind of stuff and I have lots of files and things here. But I am going to take home my, you know, couple of my microphones and couple my best cameras and just little things that'll help me make a little makeshift studio at home. So even if I get stuck at home, which I hope doesn't happen here in the Midwest, it could. My daughter and I went out and made sure we got, we didn't hoard. We went to grocery store, got things for like in the event they said, hey, we need you to stay home for two weeks or something like that. Want to make sure we had enough in the refrigerator. We didn't hoard. Trust me, I'm not a fan of hoarding. And that's. This toilet paper thing was freaking crazy. All right, so let's see, I'm going to show you. Can you do your practical flying through a local flight school, in theory through hogs to get your PPL or Cpl. Ross? Yes. We have a lot of members from Australia. We really do. And over the years, as the question comes up, I always say the same thing. Yes, our helicopter land ground school, we're here in the U.S. so of course we base our training on FAA standards. So anything between, let's say Australia and the U.S. i'm sure that there's some differences as far as regulations and airspace, but a majority of the training, I mean helicopter aerodynamics, weather, helicopter safety, there are so many things that are pertinent and everybody that is from Australia that are members, they've all, you know, signed up understanding that. And we've never had any, never, never had anybody say, well, there's not enough info for me, you know, never had, never had anybody say that. And we have other countries, people or people from other countries ask the same question. So again, you know, with all the different countries in the world, it's just not kind of, it's not within my realm to build a course for all the different countries and what regulations could be different? And maybe with time we'll be able to add a couple of those. But as of right now, we are based on FAA standards. But that doesn't mean that you can't get a lot of value of our course. And with our 24 hour test flight, you can go in and take a look at it and then with our 30 day money back, no hassle guarantee, you can go in and check it out, see what you think. That's one thing in eight years online that I harp about all the time because I'm proud of it is we from the day one, March 1, 2012, we've offered 30 day money back, no hassle guarantee. And people told I was crazy in the beginning, I shouldn't do that. But the people I learned from said you got to believe in your own product and you got to give people looking at your product the confidence. You got to, you know, let them, you got to make sure that they, they believe you're confident and that you're providing them value. So with a 30 day, no money back, no hassle guarantee, we're giving you that. What we've done in eight years is amazing. And we continually improve the product, we continually strive to do better. This is my full time job. I do fly some, I occasionally fly with students, but that's not my job. My job is making videos, running helicopter land ground school. And that's the beauty of it. I've owned helicopters, I've run flight schools and I. And it's a very tough proposition for anybody. It's a hard business and I went bankrupt over the first time around I tried it. This scenario of what I do, you know, I get paid to teach and I get paid to share my knowledge of my 20 years of training people. And I'm thankful that I can still do what I do and hopefully we're going to be able to survive this. And my heart goes out to any brick and mortar business, people at restaurants, bars. This is putting the hurt on a lot of people and that's a really sad thing. But I think if we're all smart and we do what they tell us, we beat this stuff, get back over it and everybody's economies can get back moving again, people can get back to work. So I guess I'm not trying to brag, I just want to say I have to work regardless and no matter how slow things get, I will be here and we will be here. And Brian is starting full time tomorrow. He's from California and I know he's dealing with the same things everybody else is, but I told him that we're going to continue on and I told Heather we're going to continue on as well too, as Long as we can keep things moving. I'm not laying anybody off. We're going to try to go strong, be here for you. And the next couple weeks we want to do some new stuff. I want to get Brian introduced to the world. He has been part of helicopter ground school for quite a few years, but he's our full time operations manager and we're going to make opportunity for members to speak with Brian about the things that they're maybe struggling with, questions they may have because many times we'll get people that will call or email and they're having trouble at their flight school, they're having trouble with an instructor and they need that third party kind of impartial person to talk to. So Brian's going to be there to talk to members, he's going to be there to talk to new members and you know, you'll get a consultation when you sign up, like whether it's 20 minutes or 30 minutes where you can set up a time to talk with Brian and he'll say, hey, okay, where you at in your training? How many hours you got right now? What are you working on, you know, what things are you struggling with? And that's going to be a big part of moving helicopter land ground school forward is having a full time operations manager who is not only, you know, overseeing everything and helping me with the content, but he's his job is like to make our customer service easier, even better. Heather and I do the best we can and I feel that we have good customer service but we stay really busy with day to day operations and everything that we have to do. Brian is there to kind of assist us, help us, but on take on a heavier role of talking to people and communicating people and being like, I don't know, the concierge or the, you know, you're one on one to talk to. He likes to talk on the phone and I hate to talk on the phone. So he's like, dude, I love talking to people and I don't mind talking on the phone and that's why it's a great match for us. So that's awesome. All right, let me see what else I got here. All right, thank you, Ross. Hey there. Thank you for your lessons. Awesome. Thank you. Hello. From Lithuania. Nice. I always say it, it's so cool to have people logging in from around the world. We've met so many people from around the world. One of my longtime ground school members friend is from Italy and we were communicating yesterday and he was talking a little bit about what's going on over there and it's nice to connect with people from all over the world. It's been amazing. I've met so many people and some of these people you even get to meet right when people come to the US for some reason. And maybe somehow in the future I'll be able to travel out of the country and meet some of these people. But it's all awesome. Members from all over the world. Freaking amazing. And people logging in from all over the world. I think it's just freaking amazing. I love it. I'd like to learn more about other countries flight standards. I've heard crazy request stories about the ES EA essay requirements. Yeah, I can't comment on that. I don't really know. I've only studied the FAA standards, so not much I can do there to really help you. But wish I could maybe in the future. That's. Here's one other thing I think I've caught up on. Comments. One thing cool about Brian is and he's gonna bring a new aspect. Simple things like when you're going from. If you're starting with helicopter and you go from private straight to commercial, you're not a fixed wing pilot. It's a pretty, I don't want to say easy transition, but your commercial, you study the same stuff. You just study it to higher level for commercial. And same thing with maneuvers. There's not really much new on the commercial other than you have tighter tolerances. And something that I didn't know and Brian just recently told me because he flies airplanes and helicopters, he said on fixed wing he goes, kenny, the there's a lot of difference between private and commercial for fixed wing, unlike the way it is for helicopters. And I thought. And I said really? And he goes yeah. And he was telling me all the differences between private and commercial for fixed wing. And I went, you know, that's really interesting as I did not know that. And I know that over the years fixed wing people will say well what different you got to do for the commercial? And I'm usually just going ah, it's pretty much the same thing. And they usually kind of go really? Well that's because their experience, if they're doing add ons, they knew they had to do a lot of things that were different for commercial. So anyway, anytime you bring in somebody new, you know, you always get a new perspective. And Brian will be able to help me in a lot of ways. He's a 30 year aviator, 25 years with the Sheriff's Department and 15 years flying for the Sheriff's department. So half of his 30 years is with the sheriff's department flying helicopters and airplanes and heading that unit up for quite, quite a bit of time before he retired. So that's going to bring a lot of new stuff to ground school, and it's going to. It's just exciting stuff. We're going to try to do some fun stuff the next couple weeks. I've been telling people Brian's. He's actually home this weekend. He goes, dude, I've been putting together everything I've had over the years for studying. And he's like, I'm organizing all my stuff to get ready to figure out how we can implement a lot of the things that he has. And the one thing he talked. Has been talking about is he says he's got four flashcards that he made for every single rating. And he. The members in his unit, when they would go for additional ratings, they would always want to borrow them. And apparently they've always given them back to him and they've helped everyone. So we're going to do some fun stuff, like maybe go live. We'll bring Brian in from California into our software, where it could be like we're standing in the same room even though he's at home. And we're going to do some of these flashcards and just like test people's knowledge, right? And we'll let you compete against each other. And a lot of things like that's going to be going on. So it's really, really exciting stuff. Awesome. 25 people still with us. That's awesome. Okay, well, let's see here. So long as you got questions, I'll keep going. David, I'd like to learn. Okay, I already got covered that one. Bill, what is your biggest upgrade goal that you would make to the course? I think it's great. Well, what we're going to start is the private pilot. There's, of course, upgrades we want to make to all four courses. But Brian and I agree 100% on this subject. Private pilot is the core of your knowledge. Even if you're coming to do a commercial rating, or you're coming to do your instrument rating, or you're coming to do your CFI rating, everything boils back to private, okay? Because we learn the basic essence of flying and be a safe and prudent pilot as a private pilot, then you take what you learned at the private level and you expand that knowledge to commercial level. Learning all that stuff, but learning it to a higher level and then to be a CFI you're learning how to teach all that information and you're learning how to teach it to a private pilot or a commercial pilot or training another CFI after you've had a certain amount of experience. So with private pilot being the core where everybody starts their knowledge, that's where we're going to start. So we're going to go through the private pilot course first. Make that the priority. And as much as I like it and feel it's good, even when I look through it sometimes, like, oh, I want to redo that video. Oh, yep, I want to update that video. Oh, that was still pretty good. That video looks good. That, that, that's good one. We'll just leave that. So private pilot is the number one thing. So customer service, we want to take that to a new level, better than we've ever had. And then private pilot is the beginning. And then as we really tighten up that private pilot, then we'll move on to commercial and instrument and cfi. It just makes good sense to us. And like Brian said, I want that. You know, we want that private pilot. We want that thing solid and tight, like, oh, maybe some rig change. Oh, yep, that needs updated. Or this presentation is decent, but we could add some more content to that. That really makes it even better because we've had so much success and people do so well with our training. What happens when we make it even better? So we've had great success on a really good product. So what happens when you take a really good product and make it even better and make those private pilots even better? In the commercial pilots and the thing that we constantly talk about and as trainers in aviation, in helicopters, amongst ourselves, we all the time see people that are deficient in their knowledge. And we're talking after getting your ratings out. Working in the commercial world, it's very common that people let their knowledge lapse and we can tell you some real horror stories. And that's one of Brian's pet peeves is, you know, he's even interviewed pilots for their unit. And it's like Brian, along with other people, have told me many times, you're very disappointed in what a person's knowledge in. When they show up as a rated pilot and you ask them for some basic private pilot stuff that they can't answer, that's pretty embarrassing for the person. Right? And not everybody's like that. There are people who like to continually study and train and keep their knowledge sharp, so. But there are many that don't. And that's an injustice to everyone to Yourself to the people you're around, to the people, homes and businesses you're flying over. You know, it's our duty to keep our knowledge. So to finish up that question, we're going through the whole. We're going through all four courses but private pilot first get that thing to where we just go. That is, that's rock frickin solid. That is rock solid. Okay, what are we going to next? We're going to instrument. We go into commercial. We're going to keep Brian busy and he's going to help keep us busy. So that's the answer to that question. Yeah. The entire world is so huge. Thank you. One more time. Advocate, navigate, communicate. Absolutely. Big Bill theory. Thumbs up, Benny, maybe. Hey, Benny, good Sunday evening. Awesome. All right. Hey, I see 18 likes down there. Thank you very much. Give us a few more. If you didn't, if you didn't hit that thing yet, hit that thing again.
