Welcome back, members. Welcome. New test flight members have some important announcements to make. It's October 2015, so, you know, this video is updated and I have to say I'm excited to announce we are now 500 members worldwide. That is incredible. In three and a half years. That is. I. I don't even know what to say other than that it is so flipping cool. You know, it was cooled 100 and 200 and so on, but at 500 just has that special ring to it that I think is incredibly cool. I don't know what else to say. So many of you know, and for those that you don't, we have a new operations manager named Brian Rutledge. He's a law enforcement pilot from California, and he's teamed up with me as my new partner to help me take this site to a new level. I'm proud of what I've done the last three and a half years alone. But now five minds are better than one. Not only do I have Brian, Brian has teamed up with the instructors at Odyssey Aeronautics in Auburn, California. These guys are fantastic instructors and they're already appearing in our videos. We have David Redmond, David Sipes, and Austin boa. You're going to see these guys popping up around the site. And what I want to say is, with flight instruction, no matter where you're at or what you're doing, flying with as many different people and instructors as you can is always a good thing. And also learning ground subjects from other instructors is a good thing. Tendency of a student is they get really comfortable with one instructor and then they don't want to change. It works in the aircraft as much as it does with the ground school. And I can tell you personally, you know, starting out as a young pilot, when I got started, I jumped around and flew different places, different aircraft with different instructors. It did take me a little longer to get my private and probably played in the role of why maybe that I did fail the first time because I was jumping around so much. But long term, I can tell you flying with different instructors is one of the best things you can do. Learning from different people. Everybody explains things in a different way. And I may explain something one way and maybe it clicks for you, maybe it doesn't. The next instructor might explain something and maybe it'll click or it maybe won't. And you can take what you learn from me and what you can learn from somebody else or learn from all of us, and then take that and use it and make it what works for you. I can remember as A new cfi, Excited and out there in the world, starting out as a new instructor and going, man, I don't know what to do. And you just kind of get started. And I feel like I took a little bit of everything that I learned from all the people I flew with and all the different aircraft. And I really, to this day, believe that was one of the best things that I could do with, was getting as many different experiences as possible. So we have new content all over the site. It's getting to the point where I'm uploading so much new stuff. It's not even. I hate to say this, I don't want to bother you guys with emails. Every time we put up a new video like I used to, it took me so long to build a video that when I put one up, I was proud and I wanted to email everybody. So just know that definitely weekly there's new content coming out and almost days, daily, I try to take a little bit of break on the weekends, but usually find myself trying to pop out a video or two on the weekends as well. So the content is going to keep coming, keep logging back in, and keep giving us your feedback. That's how I built this site from the beginning, and that's how we'll continue to build. It is feedback from you, our members. This is the beauty of having Brian on the team and the instructors from Odyssey jumping on board. You know, everybody has a different perspective. People have a different way of looking at things, different way of explaining things. And I know that having five minds working together coming up with content videos versus one guy trying to come up with content videos is a beautiful thing. So I'm excited. I hope you guys and girls are excited. Leave your comments down below and dig into the videos.
