This is a short instructional transcript of a pre-flight walkaround for an Enstrom F-28F helicopter, spoken by Danny Martin. It covers visual and manual checks of dampeners, walking beams, air intake, transmission fluid and cap, and verifies onboard documents (airworthiness certificate, registration, operator's manual, weight and balance). It ends with reminders to ensure the master switch and key are off.

What you're looking for. But that's almost the easy way to do it because you'll know if the right here with this pinch link, if there's excessive play in it from side to side, that's when you want to call the mechanic and get either his thumbs up, the thumbs down to be able to fly. With your dampeners, they're just essentially an oil housing. And with that you'll know if it's loose. You really don't want to fly because you don't want to lose any potential movement. When you do a control input, you want to make sure that you've got that, of course, with your walking beams, they're the highest part of the aircraft. You check them for any damage and of course, for any looseness, check your air intake, make sure that's clean of any debris. You check your transmission fluid, your transmission fluid cap, make sure that's secure. Good to go. Go ahead and climb back down. Now for actual, once you have your pre flight done and you're getting ready to go fly, you've got the most important documents actually inside the aircraft, that being your airworthiness certificate, your registration, your operator's manual, and your weight and balance sheet. Here in this aircraft in 25 kilo, we've got everything directly accessible to the pilot as it's supposed to be, with our operator's manual and weight and balance, our airworthiness certificate and our registration. Now, of course, in this case, we want to make sure that our master switch is off and make sure our master switch is off, make sure our key is off. That ensures that we don't run down our batteries so that next time we come out we can go fly. And that is the walk around and pre flight of the Amstram F28F.
