Hey, it's Kenny with helicopter on land ground school. And I want to answer a few questions for the very beginning student, someone who hasn't even flown yet. And I got several questions today. And I thought, you know what, I'll just make a video I can send out to these gentlemen. And then it's good for anybody that's just starting out, hasn't even started yet. So I had a young man this morning that first asked, I want to get my helicopter license. Do I have to do airplane first? Absolutely not. I know there's that myth out there, and people hear that, no, you can start with helicopters, go right to the training, get your license, private pilot in a helicopter. You could then add fixed wing to that private pilot if you wanted to. And you can get the airplane first, private pilot, and then add helicopter to that same private pilot certificate. So that answers the first question. No, you don't need airplanes. You can if you would like to. And I answered that question. He said, great, what do I do from here? What do I do from here? If you haven't even started, my recommendation is go get an introductory flight, find a helicopter flight school somewhere in your area and schedule a flight. Usually you can get deals from flight schools. Like, they'll offer a special price for like a half an hour intro or an hour intro. I really recommend doing that first because you want to get a feel for it, see if you're gonna like it. Once you climb in it and go for a flight, my guess is you're gonna love it. Most people do. Nobody ever gets out and goes, oh, man, that sucked. I hated it. Right? No, nobody does that. So at least get a feel. And then, you know, probably the next thing is, do you have the funds? Some people have the funds starting out, some people do not. I didn't back in the beginning. I just did the pay as you go, work a little bit, sell some stuff, save some money, borrow a little money. So money is going to be the big factor, which is the big factor for most people. It's probably going to cost you somewhere in the area of $20,000. It could be less, it could be more. That's just a number we throw out there to give you an idea of what it's going to cost you. So schedule that introductory flight, go give it a try. Start looking at your finances. Do you have the money? Are you gonna have to save up the money? What are you gonna do money wise to handle your training? And then another, another gentleman asked, well, and he was brand new starting out. He said, I'm in Canada. Can I access your training from Canada? We are helicopter land ground school. Our training is based on U.S. fAA standards. Okay. Now we have people in other countries that consume our training because they plan to come over here to fly. Some people join our training even though it's FAA standards. For example, this gentleman's in, in Canada, we always say, look, there's going to be some things that are going to be similar and there's going to be some things that are going to be different. Right. Canada is going to have some regulations that are different from faa, US regulations. With that being said, there's a lot of stuff that's going to be very similar. Aerodynamics, weather, there's a lot of things that are going to relate. So that's the, that's the bottom line. Our training is based on U.S. standards, FAA standards. People say, well, you're gonna build, you know, ones for other countries. And that's not something that we are training. What we have now is, excuse me, there's so much to it that we really don't have any plans to build training built for other countries. Okay. So then a gentleman asked, how does your training work? What we offer is what we call helicopter land ground school. We have courses for private pilot, commercial pilot, instrument pilot, certified flight instructor. But if you're brand new to this, you have to get the private pilot license first. And learning the helicopter, flying the helicopter is 25% of the work. 75% of the work is learning all this vast knowledge that you have to learn. And if you just think about it, there's a lot to learn. The things we've already mentioned, aerodynamics, weather, airspace safety, you know, specific things about your aircraft. There is a lot of information to learn. So what we do with video courses is help you learn that knowledge. You can get all the books and study on your own. You can do one on one ground school with your instructor. You can use our helicopter aligned ground school along with a number of other avenues to study to become a private pilot. Bottom line is it's going to take effort on your part. Whatever path you choose, whether you're doing one on one with your instructor, and that's all you do, that's great. You want to do more studying on your own, reading the books, that's great. You want to use our helicopter online ground school, that's great too. A lot of people do one on one with their instructor and then use helicopter line ground school, a additional method to help really cement the knowledge. And that really works with a lot of People. And then the other common question that comes with these questions asked today is do I have to do the ground first? How do I do the flying? We say it's best to do ground and flying at the same time. Be learning and flying. Be learning and flying because you can apply what you learn on the ground, how it relates to the aircraft. However, we have had people who want to just learn as much knowledge as they could before they started flying. You can certainly do that, that is an option and you can do that. So that's just some of the basic questions answering these people that ask questions today, which I think is great in this crazy world we're living in, there are people interested in chasing their helicopter dream.
