Are you preparing for a private pilot helicopter checkride and overwhelmed with everything that there is to know. I'm Kenny Keller, the owner of Fort Wayne Helicopters and creator of Helicopter Online Ground School. And we have a cool new addition to our online ground school and it's the practical test standards. And I'm going to show you for an example here on a mini iPad.
How cool this thing works. So the newest addition, the practical test standards to all the other training that we already have inside online ground school specific aircraft stuff. The newest is the practical test section. So what's cool about this is we go right down the list, pre flight preparation, pre flight procedures, airport heliport operations, all of the chapters from the pts. And as I build these videos, I'm putting in my own personal experiences of things I've seen over many years and helping many guys get through checkrides. So the best way to use it is just start at the beginning. Pre flight preparation. Click on it. Like in this section alone we already have 22 different sections. We keep them all about between three minutes to about 10 minutes, some as long as maybe 20. But we're making the training short so you can sit down, get a chunk at a time. We learn through repetition. We know it's hard to sit for hours at a time watching training and you can work through it step by step. So with each section we go through, cover the things that you're going to need to know, what to expect during the checkride, and we work right down the list. And the next thing I love is right over here, you can just keep going down step by step. Everything's listed on the left hand side. We put in the specific things that you're going to have to know step by step and you just work down through the list. I put my heart and soul in this project and feel like this is one of the best ways there is anywhere for anybody to prepare for a checkride. We also have MP3 files for each section, which I think is really cool too. You can download that to your phone, your tablet, listen while you're working out mowing the yard, whatever the case may be.
So whether you're using a tablet or an iPad, I get these questions all the time. Will it work with my iPad? Yes. My smartphone? Yes. My laptop? Yes. My desktop? Yes. Works pretty awesome on all devices.
