If you're going the professional pilot route and you're wanting to fly Grand Canyon Tours as an example, you need high altitude flying on your resume to help you stand out ahead of the competition. The other people that are applying for those jobs, and I bring this up due to Jay from helicopter training videos gave me a call last night and he knew we'd been flying in Vegas and had the R44 out there. And he just flat out said, hey man, that's a really good message that you should put out there because these young guys getting into the industry, they're going to be going for these jobs again, example Grand Canyon, they're looking for people with that high altitude experience. We had a great conversation last night and he liked the term that I used the other day in a video. I called myself a flatlander. And he goes, what was that you called yourself? And I go a flatlander. Because we've, you know, the majority of my career I've been in Indiana, flying Ohio, Michigan, you know, the surrounding states, Illinois. So the majority of my flying has been at 800ft above sea level. I've had some few times I've been out in higher altitudes, but not like when I went out and flew recently with Taz. And it really opened my eyes to, you know, we teach out of a book all day long about high gross weight, high density altitude, helicopter performance and how it goes down as that density altitude and your pressure altitude goes up. But going out in the firsthand and really doing some stuff, landing on pinnacles, landing on mountaintops and doing all that stuff just really brought it home to me on how much again we learn in the theory in the book. But until you get out there and experience it, you just don't really understand it affects a great deal the performance of the aircraft. So in my conversation with Jay, he said, hey, you should put out there in your marketing to these people going the professional pilot route to get this message out there. They need this on their resume. And he went as he far as telling us that he works out on the west coast at a pretty big flight school. He's one of the guys in charge of training and training new pilots. And they said occasionally these bigger companies come in and talk to their students who are going the professional pilot route. I iterated how important that mountain flying experience is and, and the catch with our deal and the R44 mountain courses, we are going to bring the R44 back to Indiana. And we've already got things we're kind of missing with it here now. That we'd like to be using it for. But Taz wants to keep it a little bit longer and do some more of these mountain courses before we bring it back. So this is a limited time offer. And Taz has been flying in the Las Vegas mountains for the last 13 years. So he's got a ton of experience. And he's put together a two day mountain course actually with three hours of flying. And he's going to walk you through the performance, performance planning, take you out and do these pinnacles and mountaintops and ravine landings. You know, wind was something that I was surprised thinking about how here in Indiana and the flatlands, there's always smoke coming out of a smokestack or there's a flag or there's a pond. It's really easy to always keep track of the wind and know where the wind's coming from. And you get out and around these mountains and you could say you leave Las Vegas and the wind direction has come from the south and you fly around one of these little sets of mountains and boom, it's 180 degrees different. And lots of different things happened with the wind moving up and down the mountains. So there's a lot to think about going out and flying in these higher altitudes. So again, I just wanted to reiterate that this is super important for you going that professional pilot route. If you don't have any of this experience, you should get some. And this right now is an opportunity while the R44 still in Vegas to get one of these courses for you and get you some of that high altitude training. So reach out to Hogsmember support 574-767-1797. Jay is now an affiliate, it's no secret affiliate for Helicopter Lane Ground school. And in his videos he's been offering a discount to his followers that watch his videos and subscribers for his channel. And he said, wow, you know, thanks for letting me become an affiliate. Those affiliate payments every month is kind of nice, right? And hopefully doesn't mind me mentioning that, but I don't know why you wouldn't because it's on his channel. So something that we've been surprised that we haven't had more instructors signing up for an affiliate program. And we pay 50%, not on our flight training, but on our helicopter online ground school courses. You can earn 50% by getting your own referral link and sharing it with your students. And we know for a fact if you're a flight instructor, good chance is you're living on ramen noodles. You're driving a piece of shit. You don't have any money. Half the time you're not eating or you're eating, you know, buying bulk animal crackers for, you know, $4 and eating animal crackers for a fricking week because you don't have any money. That's the nature of our industry. It sucks, but it is what it is. I hate that term. It is what it is. But anyway, you as an instructor, you want to be out there flying in the helicopter. We know this, right? Most of you don't really want to do ground school. So there's an option there for you. We'll put a link down below where you can sign up for the affiliate program.
