Tell us your biggest Helicopter Ground and or Flight Training struggle

Kenny Keller (video author) requests members fill a confidential survey about their biggest helicopter ground or flight training hurdles (with a $50 Amazon card drawing on Sept 1). He highlights recent member successes: one member scored 95% on the written test, multiple members passed checkrides (including praise for a "best hover auto ever"), and a recent webinar (Aug 25) on checkride prep is archived under the Live Events tab. He announces an upcoming live event—"Private versus Commercial Checkrides"—on September 2 at 6:00pm Eastern and explains how members can participate live. He notes ~260 lifetime members and invites continued feedback.

Hello everybody. I just want to let you know about some member success that we just got in in the last 24 hours. But before I get to that, I want to ask you to please take the time when you have a moment and fill out this box below this video. Tell us about your biggest ground or flight training hurdle. We want to know about what is it that keeps you awake at night or what is it that you stress over on going from off the street to that next helicopter rating. We're going to use this in moving forward with the design of our training and how we lay things out and what we're going to put in priority first since we have so much going on. So if you take the time to fill out that box. This is confidential. It's a survey that I'm in control of. I won't use your name so you can be as honest as you want to be to about anything that you want. We're going to have a drawing for a $50Amazon card for everybody that takes the time to fill this out. We'll be drawing that September 1st so you can fill that out. That'd be a huge help for us. It's about helping us to help you. So first off, one of our members contacted me last night. She was all excited because she just got a 95% on her written test and I just flat out asked her and said how much do you think online ground school helped you on passing the written test? And she said it helped a bunch and she would definitely recommend it for anybody else. When working on your written test. There is so much information in there and a lot of it is stuff that you're going to see on the written. We just had two members pass checkrides. Hey Kenny, just wanted you to know that I passed my private add on with your course. The checkride was a breeze. Thank you very much for putting together a very unique program and providing support to all this generation pilots. Good work. That's awesome. And feedback from another member. Kenny passed add on Checkride Oral 100%. Examiner commented Best hover auto ever. Thanks for your training. It has been very helpful. Tell your students to practice headings and altitude hold. My examiner wanted that to be precise with standard turns. Now that I have a license, I will continue to monitor your videos if that's okay to keep myself sharp. Absolutely, that's okay. A lot of our members are already rated pilots working on commercial, working on cfi, some private owners that are just coming back and using our training to help keep fresh in certain areas. All the members that are in at this point are still all lifetime members, so the training's here anytime you want to come back. Another member that's taking his checkride on Friday, and we did a webinar this week on the 25th, and Andrew, one of our members who is the CFI new CFI now, jumped in and helped me do a little bit of training. So that was pretty cool. That video is now under the Live Events tab, and that's about an hour and a half of checkride preparation. Just going over certain things that this particular member requested that he kind of wanted some refresher on before the checkride. So you can go there if you'd like to view that. And then next event, private versus commercial checkrides, September 2nd, 6:00pm Eastern Standard Time. I have one member already that is going to be ready and available to log in, and we're going to just kind of COVID what the differences are between the two checkrides and I'm going to ask him some commercial checkride questions. I know there's some other members out there that have been wanting some commercial prep too, so this would be a good chance for you guys to log in, whether you want to just log in and observe, or whether you'd like to be on webcam and be live during the event. If so, you'll need a Gmail account and just send me a message, let me know you'd like to be on the hot seat. You know, I'll ask you questions directly as if you were in a commercial checkride. So that's what we have going on. I want to personally thank all of you. There's about 260 of you around the country and around the world now that are full members, and that's awesome. So that's what we have going on. Please keep the feedback coming. I swear that's how we keep moving forward and changing things for the better. So keep your feedback coming. I appreciate every one of you for becoming a member and all your support and feedback has just been awesome. So please take the time to fill out that box below on your flight training hurdles and let us know about that. In the meantime, let me know if you need anything else. Otherwise we'll see. Tuesday night at 6.
