So back to what I was going to tell you. We met up with Jerry Ventrella and I said, hey, what's a tip? Like, what's your top number one tip after being an examiner for 50 years? And he said, oh my God, there's about five or six of them. He goes, but if I had to pick one for anybody, student, new private pilot, 30 year pilot, he goes across the board. The a number one best tip I could give you with my years of experience is recurrent training. Too many people get a rating and just go fly occasionally and don't go back and review books, don't go attend with webinars or seminars, don't go to advanced training. They just do a flight review every couple years and that's all they ever do. And he said, I think that's the biggest problem in our industry is people not staying up with recurrent training. And he said, I don't care what, what you do, whether it's again, it's webinars, wings, credit you know, taking courses, going to live events, adding additional ratings, going, and just getting a flight review when it's not time for a flight review. Going out with an instructor and going through maneuvers, doing some ground school. So again, from Jerry Ventrella. 50 years, the guy has been given checkrides. And I love talking about Jerry. He did his both. I did my private and commercial both with Jerry, the legendary examiner. He's a freaking encyclopedia of helicopter knowledge. It's unreal. And when we went to see him, I just thought, this is a great opportunity to say, Jerry, what's number one thing you would say after all these years? And he said, recurrent training. So there's a tip for you. Don't get stale, hit the books. I can tell you one of my good friends who's a Czech airman, said in the EMS industry, the problem was showing up. And these guys, EMS pilots haven't studied in a year. And you can tell they started looking through the PoH a day or two before he shows up, and their knowledge was not good a lot of the time. And he said, I should probably be shutting down half the bases in the country because of pilot knowledge. And he said, these guys just don't in general. They sit and watch TV and take naps and do whatever when they could be cracking up a book every month and refreshing emergencies, refreshing airspace and different things. So recurrent training in our industry is a problem. So take that tip and take use of our 60% off by midnight tonight. Code again. Memorial 60. Type it in the coupon box@helopterground.com and you'll get your 60% discount. Peace out.
