Back up today with Chris Hauser. He's behind Heather holding the camera. Come away, say hi, Chris. Chris is one of my past students, now cfi, flying the Cadbury. We did a video in it about a year ago, my first hour in a Cadbury and this. Over the next couple weeks, I'm going to get my four hours, four more hours to make my total of five in the Cadbury. We're going to do some videos on those and be bringing them to you, so you'll enjoy those. What we have here is Jason Cutter, who is one of our ground school members and he's done several ratings using helicopter Lane ground school. He's got the no go button. He's been in the pictures with Hauser passing his checkrides. And we thought it would give you a good perspective today to let someone who chose the Cabri as the helicopter that he wanted to fly. And I know back, I remember when you were getting started and you were talking about the instrument and we even said, I'm like, well, go up and see Howser in Fort Wayne. And you did. So now that he's been flying it and done checkrides in it, getting ready for a CFI checkride in it, I'm just gonna let Jason, in his own words, tell you why he chose it, what he likes about it, and why he would recommend one.
Well, yeah. So, longtime HOGS member, I want to say thank you for what you've done because the videos are tremendous. I do a lot of driving to come back and forth, so I just let him play in the black background and that's kind of where I soaked up a lot of that information.
Awesome.
But yes, King said, I'm about two and a half hour drive from Lafayette to come up here to fly the Cadbury or over Fort Wayne. Sweet aviation. To fly the Cadbury over there. Why did I choose it? So first and foremost, I'm not a little guy. And the 22 is immediately out of the equation for me because I don't meet the seat weight. Sure, 44 was nice, but it's. It's expensive.
Yep.
No seat weight in the cavalry. I've got plenty of leg room. I'm a little over 6, 6ft 3 inches, so. Got a ton of room in the cavalry. It's comfortable, it's modern. I like the avionics. We can have a debate on what's better or worse, but I'm. I'm a jet guy. I've got 5,000 hours of EFIs time. I like electronics. I like the New stuff. It's a brand new helicopter. I think the first time I flew this one, it had 50 hours on it. So brand new helicopter, comfortable. We can, Chris and I can fly and still take 22 gallons of fuel. By myself, I can take 45 gallons and fly for four and a half hours. Not that I have, but you can, sure. Fully articulated rotor system, autos easy. Relatively easy. But yeah, it's just, it's a great helicopter all the way around. Safe, got all the safety features that you guys talked about on the last video. Seats being crash test, crash test rated to 2,000ft a minute. So just stuff like that. It's great. Helicopter made it a great choice for me, even though I have to drive, you know, two hours, two and a half hours to get here.
Well, I mean, you are flying with Chris Howell.
Well, that's the other benefit. You know, tremendous instruction from Chris and everybody else at Sweet Aviation. So yeah, it was a perfect combination. Like you always say, it's the helicopter's part of it, but it's the instruction that's the other part of it.
Sure.
So that's huge.
Awesome. Well, thank you for hanging, hanging around to do a video with this. And we've, Heather and I have both communicated with Jason over and over again for quite some time, so it was kind of neat. When I pulled in today, I didn't know he was here and he come walking out and I immediately knew him because of the all the pictures and he's now on the Hogs wall of fame times about three, right? About to be three when you get your cfi.
Awesome.
Well, hey, we're gonna get ready to go fly, so there'll be a whole bunch more stuff coming when I get home today. I'll put a link below this video for that first flight I did with Howser and the Cadbury so you can see what it looked like the first time around. Today I'm just gonna get comfortable again. I'm not gonna film from the cockpit because we're gonna do that in the next few videos. And Howser is gonna bring the Cadbury down. This one right here, he's gonna bring it down to the Hog's Hangar probably next week when he's got a day to get it down there. And we're going to pull it inside, maybe do a pre flight and let Chris talk to you more in depth about his experience teaching the Cadbury. So that shall be. That'll be fun. So you'll see some new, more new content coming out for the Cadbury over the next couple weeks. At least three or four videos. So subscribe to the channel. Click the bell when you do so you'll be notified of the new Cadbury videos coming out. Leave us a comment below and we'll see you next video.
Peace out.
Pointed at Hausers. You're getting it. There you go. There. We got him on camera. Yep. Click. End.
