In this informal, first‑person video, the creator walks viewers through a series of DIY home‑garden projects at his wife Krista’s flower garden. He describes assembling tiered planting beds, filling a hose‑shaped area with soil, and adding another tier along a rocky crevice. He recounts clearing storm‑fallen trees and rocks, repurposing a large rock chunk to build a retaining wall, and planning an orchard of apple and pear trees. He also mentions future deer‑protection measures using chicken wire. Throughout, he frames these hands‑on tasks as his “home projects” that he pursues when not writing books, inviting viewers to share their own projects.

Drinking a Dark and Stormy that I just made and just checking out the garden I'm assembling and building. So this is my wife's garden, called Krista's flower garden. Mike's responsibility. And now I'm going up in tiers. I got this tier up here and where that hose is, I'm going to fill that with soil, put in more plants and I'm going to go up one more tier along this crevice here. We live on this like really rocky. You can see it's of kind. Kind of boulder here. This little really rocky kind of area made this big storm come through. It tore down these trees. So I started. Some actually fell toward the house. So I started cutting them up and throwing them back here. And I'm going to clear all this out ultimately and maybe put a garden up here. Is that crazy? Is that crazy? I don't know. Those are my home projects though. I like just like building stuff, cutting stuff, smashing stuff, smashing up some rocks, believe it or not. See that rock there? I took that chunk off and. Or I took a chunk off and put it there and I'm gonna use it to build a wall. That's my home project. Oh, and I'm trying to make an orchard down there too. Those trees with little labels on it, you probably can't see it come over here. But those are different apple tree and pear trees and stuff. And next project is to protect it from the deer. I gotta put some kind of chicken wire around it. What's your home projects? That's what I do when I'm not writing books. I'm curious what you do.
