Instead of a hiring sign, run a paid workshop teaching the skill you need filled. Pink Sunday Nail Salon could charge $20-$50 to teach nail care and painting. People who show up are already interested in the work and become your best candidate pool.

Right over my shoulder here is a nail salon called Pink Sunday Nail Salon. And maybe you can't really see, but they have an advertisement in there. It says, now hire. Looking to bring on board someone who's a nail technician or nail specialist. And that sign has been up there for maybe six months, so I presume it's not working. I want to give you a tip that they could follow, but I think you could follow too. And simply this. Don't say you're looking to hire someone, say, learn how to service your nails, to paint nails, to do the different procedures like the manicures and so forth. They do go on an educational event and charge people to come. Say, you know, earn $20 or for $50, the process. But then the people who show up will be candidates for employment, because inevitably the people who are interested in something will always seek to learn more about it. And some of the people who want to learn more aren't necessarily looking for a job in the moment, but they'll be inspired by what they learned and maybe want to get a job from you. So instead of putting an ad out to hire, put out an educational event.
