A leader walks into his office each January to reflect on his team's wins. He points to a wall displaying each person's contributions and a tree whose leaves represent milestones from the past year, now in full bloom. He uses the ritual to reset his leadership mindset through gratitude.
This is something I do every year, right at the end or at the start. This time, I'm doing the start. I just come into my office and just absorb everything we've achieved, have gratitude for all the work we're doing, have gratitude for my people. It's our wall here of our team. Looking at each person here just showing such gratitude for what they've done, how they've contributed to the entrepreneurial community. I'm looking at our wall of success there. That tree that grows every leaf represents something that we've personally accomplished in our lives over this last year. It's in full bloom. And of course, I remember what Dwight Schrute says. I'm ready to face any challenges that might be foolish enough to face me. I hope you do something like this, too. Some kind of ritual of just reconnecting with what you're accomplishing in your business. Thank you for being an entrepreneur.
