Thompson Burton Compliance Training

Hi, I'm Kevin Thompson, mlm, attorney and instructor for the Thompson Burton compliance module. Proper education in the field is absolutely critical for the longevity of your business. I was recently having a conversation with a regulator over some of the inappropriate health claims made in the field. I was trying to explain the numerous policies in place, arguing that the behaviors being condemned by the state were also prohibited by the company. What he said during that conversation became the catalyst for this module. He said, and I quote, it's great that you discipline people when they violate your rules, but what are you doing to educate them before they break the rules? And that's when it occurred to me that education can be a very powerful defense. We all know the saying, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. By making a small investment to ensure your field is properly educated on day one, it can lead to better behavior in the field, fewer regulatory issues, and if pressed by a regulator, it gives you one more bullet that shows your commitment to ethical and and legal behavior.
