Everest Base Camp Trail Completed Solo as a Girl

Kristin Fagerback hiked Everest Base Camp solo and pushed too hard, collapsing with altitude sickness at Gorak Shep. Her oxygen dropped to 80% before a guide gave her medication and saved her life. She learned that ambition without pacing kills.
Okay, let's see how we can film this.
We are making it there slowly but surely, probably going to that village far over there. Alive! Still so far.
In reality, like, I hiked most of this trail alone. I mean, I came on this trip alone. Um, you meet people along the way that are hiking in the same direction as you, but my pace, I would say, was way too fast and unsafe. Um, so that's why I was kind of surpassing people, which— do not go fast. You're supposed to go slow. Um, I suffered from a terrible case of altitude sickness, which I've never experienced in my entire life. I grew up skiing and snowboarding all around the world, hiking to peaks with a snowboard on my back to do double blacks since the age of 12 alone where there's avalanche danger. So I'm kind of an extremely risky person, but God taught me a lesson on this trail, which is health is, you know, wealth, you know, number one over doing what you want to accomplish and so on. So I did make it to the top, but I started getting the feeling of Altitude sickness at the top, which I thought I was going to die when I was sleeping at night, actually. Thank God I didn't. And thank God another guide helped me and gave me medication and checked my oxygen saturation, which was around 80. But your whole body starts tingling and it's pretty crazy. Like, I don't know how to describe it. But yeah, this is Gorak Shep, which is where I suffered from altitude sickness.
Okay, almost there, hopefully. And there is Everest Base Camp. And that's it for Mount Everest Base Camp. We made it. Walked a lot. I think I only had 3 sleeps before coming here, so it took me about 4 days to get to Mount Everest Base Camp. Oh, the helicopter is going in. I don't know, there's like things that fly in my eye here. I don't know what's going on, but they say it takes like 2 days to get down, but Let's go slowly. Hi, Mama, I love you. From the Mount Everest Base Camp Trail, I'm trying to make my way back. Love you. It's good. Hope this piece is a snort.
