🍡 ORDERING ON GMARKET 🍡

Kristin unboxes a Gmarket haul from Korea, showing how to order everything from AirPods cases to bulk ramen using PayPal or foreign credit cards. She compares prices to local stores and explains why Gmarket beats Coupang for expats who can't access Korean-only payment systems.

Hey, Kristin here, and I'm opening up a bunch of packages I got in the mail off Gmarket here in Korea so I can show you how to— and if you want to order packages too, just comment and I can like help you. Got a bunch of packages, so they all came in the mail except for one. All these came in the mail today or like yesterday. Except for one. One I just— it's the day before and I didn't open it yet. And this is one of the things I got. I think I got it for like 9 bucks free shipping, or 8 bucks, on Gmarket. It's for my AirPods. And a good thing about Gmarket is that, um, like for foreigners you can use, um, like a foreign credit card or PayPal. Like I use PayPal on, um, Gmarket, but Coupang you have to use like the Korean account. So yeah, cutie. I don't know, I want to collect more of these so that— I just opened it, this box. Um, I want to collect more of these so they can match my outfits. And I've had to buy on Gmarket. It could be cheaper than even in like Hongdae store, you know. Oh, but you can't charge— oh, you can charge it. Good, it has a little hole for charging. Eat, eat, eat. It doesn't fit perfect, but it works. Eat AirPods. Okay, um, oh yeah, and then I opened this other box already and it has super glue for my toilet. You can get everything on Jumakket. I bought my toilet paper so I never have to like go to Daiso to go get— it's cheaper than Daiso. Yeah, like I said, if you need any help with ordering— I think I mentioned it— ordering off Gmarket. If you need any help, uh, ordering off Gmarket, just shoot a message below. I didn't get this at Gmarket, I got it probably in Hongdae or something. Oh, this is cute! I love it, I love it, I love it. See this instant noodle cooker? So I can cook my ramen. All my 40 packages of ramen came today too. Awesome! I never have to have ramen that's not any good anymore. Okay, I'll open my ramen. Look at this huge ramen package. So I ordered 40 instant ramen things, 40 ramens for just around like $17. So it's cheaper than going to the pyeongmyeongdong. I'll save you money and get those ramen cravings out of the way. It's a whole lot of ramen. Holy moly, I didn't think I even chose— oh yeah, I did choose it. So I got some good spicy— I don't think I chose this, maybe I did. Oh, I'm so confused. Okay, spicy Jin Ramen. Then I got some I don't know, other delicious kind. Oh, this is kind of the cheap kind. I forgot, accidentally ordered this. I won't— I don't know if I tried it. And then I got this. Oh my God, I bet this is extra. And I got this. I don't think I ordered this. Maybe I didn't pay. Maybe it was free, I don't know. Then I got more, and then that's it. So I got all of this for about $17, or more like $20, something like that. Nice deal. A bunch of ramen. Now I have to never go to the Pyeonguijeom. That's crazy. And I have some ramen from another day. So yeah, Gmarket. Now I had to package all this back in. Definitely not going to do this today. See, I see. Oh my gawd, sweet. Okay, next, let's see what's in the next package. I think I have to have like Uh, I'm gonna— I think I should take my address off of all of these. That's what my aunt said. She's like, take your address off. You don't know— it's a mosquito— you don't know who might Because I don't know, always— well, I tried it though because I'm gonna recycle this stuff, so I should take off the sticker and stuff. Oh, this is hard to get off. Okay. Okay, I'm gonna do this in it— not in the video. Excuse that. Um, let's see, next, move my ramen away. I really should edit some of this out, but I'm working on learning how to edit. Well, actually, I'm just working on getting someone to edit for me because I don't know if I'm really— I'm not really interested in editing YouTube videos. So if you live in Korea and you want to edit for me or find a way to make money with editing my videos, let me know. Woohoo! Okay, my makeup I got from Clio. So they were having like a— they were having a sale. Oh darn, I think I already have this one. Yeah, I do. I have Cherry Fruit Spirit. So they gave me this tint for free because I bought 2 things. So it's like a thing like, oh, if you buy 2 things you get some something free. So I got— the reviews on these weren't great, but I thought to just try it. So like a sunscreen cushion from Clio, and then I got this new cushion they came out with. Oh, there, a matte cushion. And then, yep, the Sugar. These are really popular. So this came free. You buy 2 items and then you get this free. If you bought, if you bought 3 items, you might have gotten something else too. Plus I just like kind of, I just like, like the design of this, and then on the sides. And next, oh, this is heavy. It's heavy. Oh sweet, oh yes, it's my anti-mosquito, like some something similar to citronella spray. Oh, and my batteries. That's why it's heavy. I got AA batteries, AAA batteries, and this home mat thing. All free shipping actually. Not on everything, but like this one is free shipping. So these are good like home mats to keep mosquitoes away in Korea. A lot of Koreans use it. If you want to know more about that, then you can comment on that too. Okay, it's like Christmas. This is better than shopping even. Oh cool, I got like my coffee. Nescafé coffee. This was— I get 130 and it was like $13 or something, but that you get like 130 of these and it— yeah, or maybe $10, I don't know, something $13 to $10. Um, ₩13,000, I think. So this, you get 130 Americano packets, so I thought it was cheaper than an Itaewon 이태원— not 이태원, sorry, the 이태원 things weren't— it's cheaper than Pyeongyong, like getting one of those things, because that adds up. Like, you could only get those ice ones, like the small ones, cheap, maybe, or ₩1,500. But I just got like ₩150, so I'll take that. Oh yay, and these are my gummy jellies. See, gummy jelly, because I like getting gummy jellies from the Peony Jump too. But these gummy jellies were only ₩700 a piece. I'm not really hungry these days, but— oh shoot, these are cool. Like I got the whole package kind of thing. So I got, I think, 2 jelly and then yeah, just 1 grape. So how many? Yeah, I, I got 30 for ₩700 each, I think. And usually in the store they're on sale, maybe ₩1,000, but sometimes gummy jellies can be ₩1,500. So if you buy them in bulk much cheaper. Yeah, so I got two— oh, this one was kind of open. I got two Gummy Jelly here, and then got— take that off— got another Gummy Jelly package. Yeah, probably better packaging. And I got these grape ones, gummy jellies. So total 3 gummy jellies. But anyways, yeah, so those are like the most expensive food item I got, but it's cheaper than in the Pyeonguijeong, and maybe it's cheap at Costco, I don't know. Let me know where you buy your food. I know going to the grocery store in Korea, I've heard foreigners say before like, "Oh, it's more expensive to go to the grocery store than eat out." Like, you know, if you know that cheap pocheon you always go to. But potentially it could be cheaper to eat home if you order online. I'm going to test it out. I love going to Costco too, but I don't have a kitchen at this house, so I usually just had the eating out culture because I'm not like big on cooking. But yeah, let me know what you think. And thanks for watching this video. If you have any questions, anything to do with living in Korea and buying and delivery and how do I sign up, how do I get my house, put in the comments below. Hope I'm helping someone out there. And thanks for watching. My Instagram is @travelwithkristin. I'll post it below. And like and subscribe. Thank you. Bye.
