In this solo vlog, Kristin Fagerback shares her personal journey through an eight‑day liquid diet while quarantined in Gangnam, Seoul. She recounts the physical symptoms she’s faced—headaches, low energy, hunger, and visual disturbances—explaining how they evolved from the first day’s severe headache to a persistent sense of low blood pressure by day eight. Kristin reflects on the mental challenge of “mind‑over‑matter,” describing the diet as both a weight‑loss experiment and a test of psychological barriers. She intersperses attempts at counting Korean numbers, highlighting her effort to learn the language during quarantine. Throughout, she encourages viewers by stating that if she can complete the diet, they can too, and she invites audience interaction via comments, subscription, and her Instagram (@travelwithkristinfagerback). The vlog ends with a hopeful note about emerging from quarantine and continuing the health journey.

Hello! My name is Kristin and welcome to my channel. So I've been doing a liquid diet for a little over half the time I've been in quarantine here in Korea. And I'm on day 8 now. And I've been documenting it all the way through. So if you want to go through, go through it, then you can check out my channel and see the other videos. So, okay, no, that didn't work. Um, so I— tomorrow I'm gonna eat again because tomorrow I get out of quarantine. But yeah, I've been doing this diet for 8 years. 8 days almost up in Korean and I'm trying to learn more Korean. Pal, wait, hana, wait, no, il, i, sam, sa, o. This is when I get confused. It's like, wait, chil is 7, maybe pal, maybe pal is 8. Watch me get it wrong and I'm like, what a dummy, look at myself later. Liquid diet. Anyways, so just reporting how like it's been last night. So by the way, if I can do this, you can do this. Like, I'm feeling pretty low energy today, day 8, and, um, you'll be able to see my before-after pictures which I'm proud of. Um, and anyways, so last night I was getting pretty hungry, I would say. Weirdly enough, I feel more hungry towards the end of this diet rather than in the beginning of this diet. Um, so yeah, uh, in the beginning I didn't really feel that hungry. Like, the first few days wasn't that bad. I got like a pretty bad headache the first or second day, that night, but then after that I didn't get that headache really again. Um, I thought it was coming on one time and I took ibuprofen just in case. Um, but now I'm just like hungry. I mean, should be, right? 8 days of not eating, your body should be telling you you're hungry. Um, so yeah, I think my body's like noticing like, Kristin, You've gone one week without food, where's that food at? So tomorrow, I guess. Yeah, but I mean, I feel like good physically because I feel like— I do feel like— I do feel like I lost weight. Like, I do feel like less extra on me. Um, but my— it's more like my mind, my mentality is like— I started seeing like little like stars or something when I woke up this this morning, I'm like, oh, I must be like low blood pressure or something. Or online said I've been like laying too long or something. Anyways, um, I think my body's just saying okay. Like my body said, after the first day of not eating, I got a like terrible like headache, right? I didn't want to take medicine. You shouldn't take ibuprofen on an empty stomach, I heard. But like I could not sleep. It was— I I don't know if it was a migraine because I'd never been like diagnosed for having migraines, but it was piercing on like one side of my head. Anyway, so that first day when I did get food, I got a terrible headache. And then now it's been one week and now it's more like my mind, my mind is like, it's like low blood pressure in my mind. Like when I woke up, like I was like, you know, seeing the stars and I was like, ah, maybe, maybe my body's like, okay, it's been one week now, I'm gonna make you feel like this. Because you gotta eat. One day headache. Seven days, or like completion of seven days, I'm gonna make you feel totally low energy because low blood pressure. Because like we're supposed to eat, right? Like you can't— this isn't a sustainable thing. This is just— I'm just trying this liquid diet. I never tried it before. I'm just curious. And I thought it was like a mind over matter thing. Um, I think that's also a partial way. Like not only like I wanted to be like a little bit slimmer, but I kind of just wanted to get over that barrier in your mind like mind over matter. Like, can you— can I do that? And I'm happy to say that I've been able to complete it. And again, if I can do this, you can do this, because I love food. Don't— I gotta make a video all about food because I love food so much. Um, but it's been kind of like refreshing, this experience of doing a liquid diet fast. Um, Yeah, anyways, so thanks for listening to the blabber. And, um, if you have any questions, just say them below. Like the video, subscribe, and if you want to follow me on Instagram, then my Instagram is @travelwithkristinfagerback. And yep, or yeah, want to hang out sometime? I live in Gangnam, Seoul, South Korea. So yeah, let's beat this corona. Fighting! And do this diet, quarantine, and yeah. Well, at least, you know, if you get to like the bottom of things, or not necessarily the bottom, but you get to like lower place, like, oh, like I'm in quarantine, I can't have fit— or like I I'm doing a liquid fast diet. At least, you know, things might get better. Fingers crossed. If not, another lesson coming. Thanks for watching. Bye!
