So recently a friend of mine was explaining to me their struggles around building a community around their followers on TikTok. And while he was explaining this, I realized the problem and I told him, dude, it's because you're focusing on content rather than connecting the people that are watching. I said, I know it feels like you're building a community, but what you're actually doing is building an audience here, not a community. And that is where his problem was. You see, when you're building an audience, they have a common interest in your content, but ultimately they're just there to watch it. A community. On the other hand, they're going to have common interests in your content too, but they're also going to want to communicate with each other and work towards common goals. And as a creator, it's your responsibility to build a space for them to do that. A place where they can create connections, collaborate, and be inspired. That's how you build a community. So let us know if you agree.
