Kyle Ford on building community: start by genuinely enjoying the work of bringing people together, define what you're creating clearly, validate your idea before launch, and focus on attracting the right participants rather than chasing numbers.
Hopefully goes without saying, but as I have learned on the Internet, nothing should go without saying. And it's this. You have to get excited about the people you're bringing together, excited about the energy of creating. Like, what's the brand going to be? What's my transition going to be? What is it going to look like as these people have their best year ever. That is why you are able to kick something off that will attract people to come and then you validate your idea and then you move on.
