SPEAKER A walks through creating and applying promo codes in Mighty Networks. Go to Admin → Plans → Promo codes, set a code like "Summer 50" for 50% off, choose how long it lasts (once, forever, or N months), pick percentage or fixed discount, and scope it to any plan or a specific one. Promo codes only work on web checkout, not iOS.
You can now create promo codes for your mighty network. What you'll do is you will go to admin and inside of the plan section you'll see promo codes here in the plus icon. Here you will create the promo code. So say I want to give 50% off to one of my plans. So I'm going to call it Summer 50. So this is the code that I will share with people and that they will apply during checkout. So we'll say 50% off a plan. Now this is where you choose the duration. So once means that it will only apply to the first charge of your subscription or your one time payment plan or your installment plan. So this is if you want to choose this. If you want the discount to apply only once for the first charge, you can also choose to set it to forever so it will always occur at every single charge or you can do repeating. So this is if you would want to have it for a certain number of months or so. Say I have a monthly subscription and I wanted to, I want this the discount to hit at the first three months of that subscription. Then I would put three in here. If I have an annual subscription I want it to apply for the first year. I would put 12 months in here for the first two years I put 24, etc. Then you will decide what discount type you want. So you can do a percentage or you can do a fixed amount. And there are some caveats depending on what duration you choose. So for example in once you can do a percentage or a fixed amount. But in forever it will have to be a percentage discount. So definitely check out the Help center article to see what all of our caveats here are. So I want to go ahead, I want to do it just once and I'm going to do a percentage of 50% off. Now I can select this and say it will apply to any plan. So say I maybe only have a few plans and I want to just offer 50% off. So to any plan that I have then you can select this. But if you want it to apply to a very specific plan that you will toggle this off and then you will select a specific plan that you want it to apply to. So I want to apply it to my Live well community plan which is a plan that offers access to the network and then I'll click save here. So that's all ready to go. So I would share this summer 50 with with all of my members that I want to offer the discount to inside of this menu here I can click it to make inactive if for some reason I want to make it inactive or I can click to make it active again. You won't be able to delete a promo code but you can easily make them active and inactive and then clicking inside. Once members have redeemed this code I'll see a list of the members here and inside the details here. The only thing that I can edit here is this description. This is just internal just for hosts so members won't see this. Let me go ahead and show you what it looks like to redeem this code if I was a member and just to note that this is only available on web and is not available on web and mobile web and is not available on iOS at this time. So here I am in the checkout flow for this plan and I have a promo code so I'm going to go ahead and enter it here and select apply and then you'll see that the discount has been applied and that's promo codes.
