Lars Hedenborg walks through eight apps real estate agents should use in 2025: Audible, Oura or Whoop, macro-tracking apps, meditation tools, social platforms, Google Calendar, Superhuman, and TickTick. He connects each to productivity systems and lifestyle goals, drawing on his experience coaching agents.
Welcome real estate business builders. Today's livestream training we are going to get after a more light and fun topic. Everyone wants to know how to use this thing right here. You can see if you're not listening on the podcast and you're actually in the live stream training. It's your phone, right? So how can we use our phones to be massively productive, take care of our physical bodies and just make a not only focus on, you know, making a lot of money, but also living a lifestyle and really focusing on things that matter most in our lives. Which typically when it comes down to it and I ask somebody what their priorities are, it's not selling more homes, it's not working evenings and weekends. And those are the crazy things that we do from time to time. So we're going to go through the eight must have apps for real estate agents in 2020 25. Spoiler alert. The last two on the list are my absolute favorites. I could not live without them.
The real estate industry has failed to create a clear path to time and money freedom. Having helped over 5,000 families in my real estate career and coached thousands of agents to scale their businesses, I know what works and what doesn't. And my goal on this podcast is to share it all with you. The good, bad and ugly of building a highly lucrative lifestyle business so you can focus on what truly matters in life. You won't find any hype or fluff on this show, just real world tactics and strategies that get results.
You just gotta do the work. The backdrop of all this is I had none of these when I was building my business. I had a BlackBerry when I first got into real estate and my wife Julie, she was the first of us to get an iPhone. So there were no apps on BlackBerry, so I had none of these. But as I developed as a business leader, business owner, business builder, I just love systems. My journey was one of less so I love the client part of it. I love helping other agents succeed and sell a ridiculous amount of real estate, whether that was on my real estate team or helping others through real estate B School. So 2,000 agents have been through Real Estate B School, over 2,000 and you know, 5,000 plus families served. And I did that all through systems, leverage, automations and all that good stuff. So I bring a lot of experience to this conversation. So app number one, and I'm going to pull it up here is Audible. This is an app, if you haven't heard of Audible, you get to listen to books on audio. I know some of you are going to say, well it's not the same as reading it and you don't comprehend it. Okay, great. But I could listen to Life Force by Tony Robbins. That was a 20 hour book. I could listen to someone's life's work on a topic while I do other things. Some of the recent titles that I would recommend. So I don't think you can not have audible and achieve your ultimate potential. You have to be consuming stuff that's going to have you look at the world differently or think about the business differently or learn a specific thing about marketing or social media or whatever. And so I would argue that that's why this is number one. And these aren't in a particular order but I did put audible number one for that reason. The Wealth Money Can't Buy by Robin Shermer. That was one of the more recent ones. What's another good one? Day Trading Attention by Gary Vaynerchuk. That was unbelievable for leadership. The Way of the shepherd was awesome. Lead Like Jesus. That was a real good one. To Hell with the Hustle. Do the Work by Steven Pressfield. That one is like oh, that really hits you right in the forehead with a two by four. The thank you Economy by Gary Vee. I have like 700 titles on here. I probably listened to completely maybe half of them. Them some I get into and I'm like man, this isn't really my thing here. The psychology money is really good. Patrick Linione the advantage, all of his stuff is really awesome. So that's number one audible. Number two is and this is you can, you can do one or the other. So it's an app that has a wearable. I'm not going to give you the middle finger. So that's an aura ring and the app basically tracks your sleep, your heart rate, your readiness. You can see your stress. So taking care of your physical body when it comes to achieving at a high level level in all the areas of life that matter, business being one of them. These next three here actually app number two, three and four all relate to your physical or mental well being. It's near impossible for you to crush it as a family person. A dad or a mom, a husband or a wife. Have a spouse and be able to serve them and have the energy and be present and engage with them to have relationships outside of your family. You know with like I'm going to Christian business owners group and I give time to that or I travel with a mission organization, open eyes around the world. To be able to do all of that requires that you have you take care of your physical body. The main thing I use aura and Whoop is another one. W h o o p. They have a Whoop 4. I actually used that one for a while and I love both of them. I just decided to get rid of an extra band around my wrist. My apple watch was enough, so I just used the wearable. I need to know if I'm at a sleep deficit. That's the main thing I use this for. But the cool thing is I do work out. I'm 51 years old and I know that at, I think at age 40, we lose like something like 10% of our muscle mass every decade. There's a gauge here that shows me hrv, but also readiness. So every day it basically tracks all my vitals and tells me how hard I could work out today. And the stress is actually pretty cool. Let's look at the stress from yesterday, man. Yesterday I was stressed. So there's stressed, engaged, relaxed and restored. So I was not restored yesterday. The day before, I was relaxed a little bit more. I was at a horse show with my daughter. So just interesting stuff, right? That is app number two, app number three. And y' all are going to hate me for this one. But I have not found a good way to take care of my physical body without tracking what I put in my body. So what you eat. So this app is called macro factor and I've used the lose. It is another app and my fitness pal is a really common one. MyFitnessPal is everything is so small on the app. This one is like, it claims to be like, AI driven and tracks all my macro targets. It's got like, expenditure, my weight trend, my energy balance, my goal progress, important measurements. If you want to shed some lbs and there's no judgment if you're carrying around a few lbs. I am 30lbs less than I was about two years ago. And I was. I would always lose and gain back the same weight and this allows me to not trick myself. So I weigh myself pretty regularly. Every morning I put in my weight and it tracks my macro consumption, my calories with my expenditures based on my workout and my heart rate and all of it. So that's number three. Number four is some sort of app and I've used a couple of them. Abide. It's a meditation app. You can actually hear it sounds so calm. So every morning they have a daily meditation. A, B, I, D, E is based on a scriptural meditation, calm. C, A, L, M is just regular meditation. My brain is always going the ability for me to slow down and just breathe and focus on breath. There's so much science around meditation. Highly recommend you look into some sort of meditation app. The next four are for business. Big warning with number five. It's dangerous. Guess what they are. Instagram and Facebook. You cannot be a consumer of these apps. You cannot go in and mindlessly scroll Facebook or Instagram. The iPhone has it where you can track app usage. You need to really guard yourself around consuming those apps. I get caught in it too. I'll be watching a YouTube video and then the shorts will come up and then 30 minutes later, I've just been scrolling. We've had members use Instagram to sell two to three homes per month just with a business Instagram profile. It's one of our agent Brand Authority Builder trainings. Another member took 30 listings in 90 days with a daily Facebook Live. So does social media work for business? A hundred percent. If you're not doing social media in our world, Million dollar agent method, we call it Agent Brand Authority Builder. And it's basically an extension of your database. Your database is your inner circle, past clients, people that know, like and trust you. You could organize it simply, even in a Google sheet. You don't have to get overly techie with it. Your agent Brand Authority Builder is the next stage of building out your digital footprint. You have to be able to put content out there that's engaging and you're actually having conversations with people on the social media plat. And I would pick one or the other. Our community member that took 30 listings in 90 days uses Instagram. She loves Instagram. She uses Facebook as her business platform. And that's where she gets all of her business. Because her ideal client, she's like younger, you know, so she's in like her early 30s. She wants people that are trading up and, you know, buying expensive homes. And generally speaking, that's not people in their early 30s. So all of her friends on Instagram, she's just decided, and that's not to say that Instagram isn't awesome, because we've got a member doing almost three transactions per month on Instagram, but she just chose Facebook for the demographic that's on there. Generally a little bit older. Generally they have a little bit more money. So the next one, it's not the sexiest one, guys. It is Google Calendar. Are you seriously telling me that Google Calendar is like an app that I should use? Yeah, I am. So here's our ideal week. This is a typical day in the life of an agent that Wants to sell a ridiculous amount of homes. Start with some sort of morning routine. You got family time, buffer time, time block for new business development. Then some offer office work, then some lead follow up in the mornings you're filling your appointment slots. Anything in red is family time or personal time. You know, we've got a couple evenings where we'll take late appointments. Got a family night in there, you've got your date night in there. Saturdays I would do by appointment only and these are all recurring appointments so there's no guesswork. You don't show up and just let your day explode on you. Right, there's intention. You know exactly what you're doing every day. Google Calendar, the next one is an app. It's an email app. The app is called Superhuman. So this is what it looks like. I've got 13 in my other box and nine in my important box. It separates your emails important and not important. And I know you could do that in gmail, but this app, it will change your life. I spend like maybe less than 10 minutes on email every day. It's so elegant and so designed for maximum efficiency around email. And when you get to inbox zero, you get a different picture every day. Highly recommend it. My life was changed with that app. Superhuman, the last app is the one I'm most passionate about. It is called Tick Tick. Those are my daily habits. I'm recording this almost at noon. I've. I didn't do a 12 hour fast. I ate late last night. But I meditated, I prayed, I read the bible, I reviewed my goals. I did do personal development when I was in my red light therapy. I'm getting ready to get on another training but I need to eat a proper lunch, do weights or cardio later and I need to have meaningful connection with my wife and my two kids. And so there's my habits. And then I also track all my goals in here. My daily prayer, my personal goals and habits for this year, Real estate, B school, my rev share goals, my financial goals, my vision for 2027 and I'm reviewing that consistently and that's it my friends. So Ticktick and Superhuman, those are unbelievably powerful. You cannot scale your business if you're not time blocking in Google calend and then use social media responsibly. That's all I've got for you. So take action, be intentional. If you know you need help implementing systems, just go to milliondollaragentmethod.com we help you build out lead gen systems, lead conversion systems all the sales frameworks so that you can add an additional two to three transactions per month with no paid leads or no cold calling, no door knocking.
