We all know we need a morning routine and a lot of times I think we overthink it and I think we stumble around the specifics of what a morning routine could look like. In today's video, I want to break down my morning routine, how it's changed over the years. You know, what was I doing back in the early days and as I was scaling my team and exiting production and building real estate B school. I'm going to take you through all of that. Stick around to the end of this video. I want to offer you an opportunity to join me in the Time Freedom challenge. I'm going to coach you, I'm going to teach you new things, teach you how to delink time and money. And it's going to be an awesome time that we spend together. Give me the thumbs up on the video. When I think about, you know, this opportunity in real estate and the competitive nature of our business and the fact that we are a commodity and that's a harsh term. Yet when I first got into real estate, I knew that there were 15,000 of us at the time and there weren't that many homes to be sold. I think there were 60,000, 70,000, maybe 75, 15,000 agents sharing 75,000 sides. There was half as many transactions and presumably twice as many commission checks. Five homes on average per agent. And I did the quick math on that. 225,000. Average price point at the time, about 6,500 bucks, maybe 7,000 commission. Check times five is 35,000 gross. I left a multiple six figure corporate job to get into real estate. And I was thinking to myself, like this not going to work, right? What are the disciplines I can put into place? How can I be successful in an industry, you know, as I wanted to define the success and build a business that allowed me time and money, freedom and got me out of the grind and the stress of real estate. When I look back on one thing, if I could teach you, it's your morning routine in those early days. I am not going to lie, there were some mornings where we didn't sleep the night before. Two young kids, I stayed up late, passed everyone going to bed and the morning routine was like, throw some food in my mouth and say a blessing with my wife and our two young kids and I'm off into the rat race. And then over time, my morning routine evolved as I Became sort of more grounded in my faith. I added scriptural meditation and I added in just quiet time. Or as I built out my first plan in 2009, where I cast this crazy vision for 2012, 14 and 2020 and what I wanted my life and my business to look like. I would study that plan, that first plan. I laminated 20 copies of that plan and that was part of my morning routine. I've done affirmations in the morning where like, I'm confident in Christ, I'm courageous in the eyes of adversity, right? These things. What can I tell myself to really get myself in a positive mental state to be, to be able to achieve in this like competitive industry. Here's the thing about real estate. In my market, we went from 15,000 agents to 5,000 agents by 2012. So it was against all odds that I was even in real estate at this point. Yet my business kept on growing and it kept on growing and keeping this positive mindset and, and starting my day off the right way is the thing that has saved me. When I look at my morning routine, you know, maybe in those team building years where it involved some quiet time for me, I would hydrate every morning. That became a ritual that I was really sort of focused on. Obviously sleeping and tracking my sleep was important, moving my body, physically moving my body in the morning, those types of things. When I got to the office, part of the morning routine was, you know, a morning huddle like hey, what did you do yesterday and what are you going to do today? Then we would script and role play, then we would get on the phones. Right? It's not that initial morning routine yet. Depending on the stage, you are in your business growth journey. If you're a solo agent, that morning routine has to extend through 1112. Like everything you do in literally the morning before noon set you up for success in your business. So go from team building to, you know, transitioning into the coaching side and 2013 and 14, when we sold 312 and 400 plus homes, I was working one day a week, yet I was scaling the coaching business. So I got out of one business and the production side of that business and I jumped right into production in the coaching business. And I was doing one on one coaching and again I was just grounded in this morning routine of just being thankful for the opportunity to serve these folks. Even though one on one coaching ended up not being something that was sustainable for me. We have like unbelievably qualified business coaches now that love that thing and they're awesome at it. They've been in our world for three to five years and they've gone from 50 transactions to 300 transactions, right? So I've constantly been maneuvering what I do and my focus. And no matter what I have to work on, I ground myself in this morning routine. I'll give you my morning routine right now so you can have an idea of what it looks like. I'm gonna grab my phone here real quick. So I've got it on an app called Strides. I wake up and I drink water so we dehydrate when we sleep. I do a shot of something called Proto Vite. It's a company, I think, called bni. I'm not sure it's supposed to be like this wonder sort of elixir of vitamins. I do the Abide Meditation app. It's a 10 to 15 minute meditation on scripture. I read my Bible. And then I do my daily plan. And my daily plan is to start in gratitude. I write down three things I'm grateful for. I write down my intention for the day. What am I going to achieve today? I write down my affirmations in the morning. I write down my top three must do things of that day. And then I write down just my task list, the things that have to get done but maybe aren't on my top three. And then I end the day not part of my morning routine, but I end the day with three awesome things that happened and how could I make today even better? And so when you think about where you are in your journey, you've got to establish a morning routine. I 100% recommend it. It will change everything for you. And if you're at a point in your journey where you want to spend a little bit of time with me and you wish there was someone that could coach you to just be sort of more intentional with your time and maybe to delink time and money in real estate.
