Lauren. Should I play an acoustic or should play an electric. Ideally, you want to go with the music you like. I play a lot of acoustic music. I love singer songwriters. All right? So I tend to play acoustic more than I do electric. Now, if you're someone that's into classic rock and the blues, you may want to go with an electric guitar. Now, if you have no preference. Ideally electric guitars like the one in the background here, the strings are thinner, they're a little bit easier to play, and if you're learning bar chords, they're great to start by learning on an electric. Now, acoustic guitars, they're a little harder to play, but they don't require an amp and you're going to build your calluses much faster. So it's really the trade offs that you guys can live with. So if you're looking for the easier road, I would maybe go with electric. But if you really love the sound of that acoustic like I do, then definitely go for the acoustic guitar.
