A short YouTube #shorts by Lauren Bateman demonstrating a guitar 'B power chord trick': she instructs the viewer to play a B power chord at the second fret while strumming all six strings, shows how sliding that shape to different positions changes the sound, and invites viewers to experiment and try writing a song using the idea.
I'm going to show you a really cool sounding B power chord trick. So what you're going to do, you're actually going to play all six strings of the guitar and if you know a B major power chord. So what you're going to do is you're going to go to the second fret and play a B power chord and strum all the strings. Sounds really cool, right? Now what you can do is you can slide this shape all over the guitar. Listen.
Some positions are going to sound better than others, but play around with it, have fun and see if you can write a song with this B power chord trick.
