Lauren Bateman shows three easier alternatives to tough barre chords: use F major 7 instead of F barre, simplify B minor with a small three-finger shape, and play F# minor by shifting an A-shape down one string.

Questions this video answers

Use an F major 7 chord (available in a four-finger and a three-finger version).

Place first finger on the 1st string, 2nd fret; second finger on the 2nd string, 3rd fret; third finger on the 3rd string, 4th fret.

Take an A chord shape and move it down one fret (shift each finger down one fret) and play only the bottom three strings to form an easy F# minor.
