Boston MA Singing Lessons - Mariana Testimonial

Mariana talks about two and a half years of vocal lessons with Lauren Bateman in Boston. She describes how Lauren's teaching challenged her and helped her improve her singing skills.
How can I be true to you?
All you do is make me a fool I've been studying vocals for about two and a half years, and the reason why I decided to start taking lessons was because I was in a band at the time. I was just playing keyboards, but we felt the need to bring a female voice and I didn't really feel comfortable singing, singing in front of people. So lessons was really just for me to have more confidence singing in front of people. But then I realized that I really liked it. And I've been doing this for two and a half years now and having a lot of fun.
What I enjoy a lot now that I've been taking lessons for two and a half years is the fact that I've always written my own songs. And I. I can take some of my songs that I've written in a certain key and I can put it higher in a higher key. And to be able to do that, it sounds much nicer and things that I wasn't able to do before and also ways that I can harmonize or how I can take a cover song and give it my own spin to it because I really know my voice now and I really know where I can go. Those are really interesting things to be able to do because I do have that knowledge now of. Of my instrument.
Quality wise. I think the. The fact that I've been here for two and a half years really speaks for itself. Lauren's an amazing teacher and she continues to challenge me. It's never the same. And I really like the fact that I'm always learning something new. So that has made me stick with it a lot longer than I probably would have. And just being committed to it as well and knowing that there's been so much progress, I want to keep doing it because I've had so much progress. Yes, I definitely feel that the investment has been absolutely worth it. And I do recommend for anybody. It doesn't matter how good of a singer you are, there's always something new to learn. There's always a new technique. And that's what I tell people all the time. It doesn't matter how amazing you are, there's always room for improvement.
