Can't You See Play Along Guitar Lesson

A YouTube play-along guitar video by Lauren Bateman for the Marshall Tucker Band song “Can’t You See.” The video provides a slow first run with a simple down-down-up strumming pattern, followed by a faster take with spiced-up/intermediate strumming; lyrics are sung throughout and viewers are directed to laurenbateman.com for chord charts, full lessons, and donations. The clip emphasizes timing and practice rather than detailed instruction.

Hey guys, welcome back to my Play along series here. This is the play along for Marshall Tucker bands. Can't you see? And if you don't have the chord chart yet, you can always go to my website, laurenbateman.com to download that. If you're looking for the lesson video, there's a link below in the description that you can go and find the actual lesson video on how to to play the song. This one is actually just a play along that we're gonna do so that you can practice playing from the beginning through the end. So the first time through, I'm gonna go fairly slow and I'll use a very simple strumming pattern. And the next time through I'll go through a little bit faster. And I might spice it up just for my own entertainment. But we're gonna start at the intro and the strumming pattern we'll use. Why don't we just do down, down, up. That'll be a nice down, down, up twice per each chord. So let's start with that intro. So we got 1, 2, 3, 4.
I'm gonna take a freight train.
Down to the.
I don't care where it goes.
Gonna climb a mountain.
My highest mountain Lord.
Gonna jump off Nobody gonna know.
Can'T you see.
Can'T you see.
What that woman.
She been doing to me.
Can'T you see.
Can'T you see.
What that woman.
She been doing to me.
Well I'm gonna find me a hole in the wal.
Gonna crawl inside and die.
That lady.
Meet a woman Lord.
Never told me goodbye.
Can'T you see.
Can'T you see.
That that woman.

Gonna buy me a ticket now.
As far as I can.

Take me southbound all the way to Georgia down.
Till the train runs out of track.
Can'T you see.

What that woman.
She bend in front of me.

Can you see.
What that woman she bend in front of me and do it again well, can't you see? Oopsie. Sorry. Can't you see.
What that woman she been doing to me.
And can't you see.
Been doing to me.
There you go. See, I make mistakes too. Sometimes it's weird because it's.
It's.
It's harder to actually play slow than it is to play fast. But that's what we're going to do on this next one. We're going to go a little Bit faster and I'm going to spice up the strumming a little bit. You don't have to spice it up at all. You can keep with the simple strumming pattern and play along with me and play over what, what I'm doing. But the most important part is the timing. So we got 1, 2, 3. Intro.
Train.
Down the station.
I don't care where it goes.
Gonna climb me a mountain the highest mountain low Gonna jump off nobody gonna know.
Can you see where can you see?
