I know you, you know me. One thing I can tell you is you got to be free Come together.
Right now.
Over me.
Hey everybody, welcome back. I am doing a play along to the Beatles Come Together which has this cool little lick line in there if you want to learn how to do that. This is not a how to tutorial, this is a you get to play along from beginning to end with Lauren lesson. So if you want to learn how to play that intro, I'll put a link to the lesson video below this video so you can go check that out. Out. Now what I'm going to do is I'm going to play through the first time really simplified. So I'm going to go a little bit slower and I'm going to keep the strumming a little bit more simplified. We won't be doing the lick, we'll just be playing a D minor.
Because if you can't do that, no problem, we can make it easier. We'll just play a D minor. Now there is a bar chord in here, there's a B minor, you can use the three fingered B minor if you would like to put practice that and if not, don't worry, don't play it and jump in where you can. So we're going to start this off and we'll play through and then I'm going to go back in and I'll play it again a little bit faster, adding a few more dynamics and some different things in to give you guys an idea of what the song could be as you progress and get better at playing. So go to laurenbatement.com if you haven't already, print out the chord chart, come back here and we'll get started. So I'm going to start off very slow with our just our D minor chord. So we go 1, 2, 3, 4.
He come all flat top, he come moving up slowly he got juju eyeball he won the Holy roller He got him down.

And there you go. Now this song fades out, so we can't really fade out. So we're going to end on a D minor. And you saw, I played the lick in there once because my brain went on autopilot to go to the lick. That happens sometimes. So this time through, we are going to throw the lick in. So if you want to practice that with me, you can. If you're not ready to throw it in full speed with me just yet, practice it separately and throw it in later. All right, so I'm going to play this lick, and I might even do a little bit of palm muting on this time through. Anything else, I'm gonna change up. I don't know. We'll see. You just never know what's gonna. What's gonna happen. And that's what's great, when you get better and better at guitar. Because sometimes the guitar just takes on a mind of its own, so it does its own things. So we're gonna start off with the lick, play a little bit faster and see how it goes. Let's see. 1, 2, 3, 4.
Here, come on flat top Here come rolling up slowly. He got Jojo I believe One Holy Roller he got hair down to his knee not to be a joker he just do what he please, please.

And there you have it. That is Come Together by the Beatles, spiced up just a little bit. I mean, you can even make this harder and spice it up more. I think if you listen to the originals, they're kind of doing these little bluesy type things.
You'll hear those kind of things in there. I think someone's doing it. Someone's got to be doing it but you'll hear those things in there. I'm not doing that in this tutorial but it is a possibility that you can add in if you're hearing something in the music. It's always good to listen to the music and hear things so that when you hear it again you recognize it. You know, just like that palm muting sound.
It's like you can hear that and know instinctively what the guitarist is doing to produce that type of sound. So cool things to listen for. So there you go. Come Together by the Beatles after. After what? I don't know. That's it. There's nothing after this. But if you want to go visit my website laurenbatement. Com Donate. You can always make a donate if you're enjoying these lessons. I hope you guys practice hard and I'll see you in the next lesson video.
