Does YouTube advertising work to grow a channel? Well, I didn't do much advertising on my guitar channel, but on my new channel, I am using some discovery videos because I'm a brand new channel. I don't have many subscribers and I don't have brand authority as a YouTube coach yet. So sometimes you can do what's called a discovery video and put out one of your videos. So when someone's searching for a certain topic, a keyword, you your video is going to get suggested. Because in the beginning, when you don't have a lot of domain authority, YouTube's not going to be suggesting out of your videos and you're going to be a needle in a Haystack. So sometimes YouTube advertising can help give your channel that boost in the beginning that it needs to grow and get off the ground running.
