Ah, look at all the lonely people.
I All the lonely people.
Hey everybody, it's Lauren here. Welcome back. I'm so excited because it's not very often we get to do a tube chord song, but Eleanor Rigby is a great example of a two chord song. This is a simplified version. If you go and look at the actual version, there's some slightly different variations on the chords, but we're just gonna keep it to two chords, C and E minor. How easy is that? If you're using my two fingered chords, it's as easy as moving one finger to play this entire song. Awesome. So basically, as you saw in the intro, I was doing a little bit of palm muting, which is more of an intermediate technique. But in the first one we're just gonna keep it really simple. We're just gonna do all down strums, no palm muting, it's just gonna be all down.
You can do four strums per chord or you can do eighth notes, which is probably what I'm gonna do.
All right, so this is a play along video. If you guys haven't figured that out, it's in my play along section. If you want the actual lesson video, I'll put a link below here so that you can go and learn how to actually play this song, which is very super simple. Great beginner song if you're just starting to learn how to play the guitar. So the first time through, I'm going to play it a little bit simplified. I won't do the palm muting, I'll play it a little bit slower because this song is peppy. And then the next time through, what I'm going to do is I'll play it at a faster speed. I might throw in some embellishments just to give you guys an idea of what the song could sound like and not gonna play it exactly as the song is. So don't yell at me and put comments that you know this chord could be this chord. I know, I know. We're keeping it simple. We like to keep it simple. So go to my website, laurenbaten.com print out the sheet so that you have it with the lyrics and the chords like I do and then we can get started. If you need to pause the video, come on back. Alright, so keep it simple. If you just have to do one strum per chord, do that. But we're gonna do doing eighth note strumming and it's gonna be 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and 2 chords. How awesome. All right, here we go. 1, 2, 3, 4.
Look at all the lonely people.
