I've had a lot of students who come to me for the big box programs like Fender Play or Guitar Tricks, and they're like, it just went from 0 to 60 too fast. All right. I love going to 060 fast. But when we're learning, we don't have to go 0 to 60 so fast. We can take a couple extra steps to build the finger dexterity. It's really hard to move your fingers in the beginning, but we have to get there, and we have to build there. And it's okay to take those shortcuts. Okay. You're not cheating. Don't make someone feel you're smaller than you are or you're less than you are. I tell students in my course all the time, I said, this is your journey. Everyone's guitar journey is unique. Some people move fast, some people move slow, and that's perfectly fine. My goal as the teacher is to meet you where you're at, not for you to meet me where I'm at. I have to meet you where you're at. And we have to make changes, and we might have to make adjustments, but that's my goal. My goal is to help you get to where you want to go.
