Lauren Bateman (YouTube) explains the value of outsourcing both business and personal tasks to free time for higher-value work. She gives personal anecdotes: outsourcing laundry, lawn care, and house cleaning so she can invest time in the business, noting the decision is financially justified because the income she earns from that time exceeds the cost of hiring help.
We can talk about outsourcing in a business, and we can also talk about outsourcing our lives. And I did a lot of this earlier in my business career because I wanted to focus time on the business, on the stuff that was going to make me money. So I actually outsourced laundry. I outsourced the lawn. We outsourced cleaning our house. My wife was like, you have to help me with cleaning more. And I said, absolutely, do not. I will pay for it to get done. And that's what I did. So I paid for the house to get cleaned because I don't like cleaning the house. It's not my thing. I would rather invest that time into the business, because I know by doing that, I can make more money than it's going to cost me to pay my house cleaner.
