A YouTube video by Lauren Bateman announcing a new "Play Along" series for guitar students. She explains the playlist will provide full song performances played twice — first slowly for learners, then at normal tempo — and that strumming patterns and chord chart links on her website will indicate which songs have play-along videos.
Hello, guitar enthusiasts. Welcome back. I've been getting a lot of emails recently from students that are loving the lessons that I'm doing. They're loving the song lessons, but they have been emailing me saying, hey Lauren, you know, I would really love to be able to play along with you from the beginning of all the way to the end of an entire song and be able to play with you. Would you be able to do some sort of play along with some of your songs to go with the lessons? So what I'm going to do is I'm going to create this new play along section or this play along series on my YouTube channel so that you guys can have a full version of a song to play along with. So. So I will have the lessons completely separate in the song sections, but this playlist is going to be dedicated more to me not teaching the songs, but rather playing the songs along with you. All right, and what I'll do is I'll play it twice. So I will. The first time through, I will play the song very slowly, so at a much slower pace that might be easier for people who are just learning songs to play through. And then I'll play it through again at a more normal up tempo speed so that you'll also have a play along that's a little closer to what the song is. So depending on whether you're just learning the song or you're trying to master it, you'll have a couple play alongs that you can work with. And I will include the strumming pattern on the screen so that you guys can play along with that. So I hope you guys enjoy this new series that I'm going to be creat creating on my channel here. You can also go to laurenbateman.com where I will create a list of the play alongs. If you go to my chord chart page, you'll be able to see which ones have videos accompanying them and which ones don't. You'll see the in parentheses I will put play along so that you know there's a play along video that goes with that chord chart. So I'll see you guys in the next video. It.
