Hey, guitar enthusiast Lauren Bateman here in this play along guitar lesson we're going to be doing. Hey, Jealousy by the Jim Blossom. Super fun song. Let's get into the video.
So this is a song I used to play with my band live a lot. It's super fun. Now in these play along videos, I don't go through how to play the song. If you want to learn how to play the song, you can go check up the lesson. I'll put a link up here so you guys can go open and watch that. But what I do the first time through, so I play it very simply, probably a little slower than the normal song. And then the second time through, I play it through as if I was going to perform it live. And it'll be a little bit faster. You guys can see if you can keep up with me. So first time through, keeping things simple, four down strums. 1, 2, 3, 4. 1, 2, 3, four. That's how we do it here. Or if you're an absolute beginner, just do one strum per chord. Whatever's the easiest for you. I'm going to try and keep this slow. It is a very, very peppy song, but I may have a tendency to speed it up, but I'm going to try not to. All right, I've got my glasses on now so I can see all the lyrics and the chords. If you need to pull up the chord chart, you can go to laurenbateman.com. you can put that on one side of the screen, keep the video on the other side and play along while following the chords there. So the chords we're using very simple. D, E, F sharp minor. E. Okay. And easy. F sharp minor. Put that up on the screen for you guys if you need that version as well. So we're just going to be doing four down strums per chord. Let me see if I can pick a tempo and hopefully I'll be able to stay with it. So here's the tempo. 1, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4.
1, 2, 3, 4.
Well, tell me, do you think it be all right if I could crash here tonight? You see, I'm no shape for driving anyway. I got no place to go and you know, it might not be that bad. You were the best I ever had. If I hadn't flown the whole thing years ago I might not be alone tomorrow we can drive around this town and let the cops chase us around the past is gone but something might be found to take its place.
