Hey guitar enthusiasts, I'm gonna show you quickly how to play Hound Dog, which is a great repetitive pattern. We're gonna do a very simple strumming pattern. It's gonna be down, down, up, up, down, up, down, down, up, up, down, up, down, down, up, up, down, up. 1, 2, and, and 4, and. The chords we're gonna use, we're gonna use a C chord, we're gonna use a G chord. There is an F chord in this song, but if you want to make your life easier, you're gonna be going from C to F. You can use C to F major 7, and it'll work just fine. Okay, so basically your first and second fing— first finger and your third finger don't move at all. You're gonna move the second finger down, put the pinky underneath, and you've got F major 7. Will work great on this song with that strumming pattern: down, down, up, up, down. Okay, so here we go.
You ain't nothing but a hound dog, crying all the time. You ain't nothing but a hound dog. Crying all the time. Well, you ain't never caught a rabbit and you ain't no friend of mine.
