A short YouTube lesson by Lauren Bateman demonstrating how to play 'House of the Rising Sun' (The Animals). The instructor lists five chords used (D, E, A minor, C, F) and explains a six-note picking pattern applied to those chords, then sings the opening lyric as an example.
I got an amazing song here. House of the Rising sun by the Animals. We've got five chords. We've got D, we've got E. We've got A minor, we've got C. And we do have an F chord. And we're gonna do something special with those chords. We're actually gonna pick individual notes. We're gonna pick six notes. It'll sound like this.
There's a house in New Orleans they call the Rising sun.
And it's been the ruin of many a poor boy and God I know I'm one.
