Welcome back, YouTubers. In this video, I'm going to show you how to make a customizable end screen for your YouTube channel to get people to watch the next video or another piece of your content and increase your watch time on YouTube.
All right, so the first thing we're going to do is we're going to go back to our web browser. We're going to go to canva.com and what we're going to do is we're going to create a design over here. All right, you can create a design. Sometimes they have some automatic things in here. What we're going to do is we're going to create a custom size. Mine has. I've done this recently. But you would have to type in 3, 8, 4, 0 and then 2, 1, 6, 0. Make sure it's pick pixels. And then you would click create new design. This is going to set up our template so that it's perfectly sized for our end screens. Now over here on the left side, you'll see search templates. We want to go to YouTube outros. Okay. And again, we're going to get all these cool, free, free designs. Some of them have like little video spots. Some of them, you know, you. Again, you can search for these based on your theme. I really like using this one. This one's kind of cool too. But we're going to use this one today. So the length of These are usually five seconds. You can do. I would do up to 20 seconds. That is the longest length because then you can edit it down in your video editor if you want to. But the longest end screen you can have is 20 seconds in length. So there's no reason to download anything longer than 20 seconds. Now you can add little effects to this as well. So some of the. A lot of these are free. So we have like this block we have. This one is set up for pan where it comes in rise so you can have it do lots of different animations. I'm just going to leave it on the pan animation for now. So now we're going to click on the content. Let's see this. So this has new content added daily. I'm going to say new content added weekly because that's what I do. And then watch more episodes. We could say watch more episodes. Or we could say remember, remember to subscribe with an exclamation point. Okay. Hey guys, if you're liking this content, don't forget to give me a thumbs up because it lets YouTube show my videos to more viewers just like you. And maybe I don't like this color. So I'm going to click on this orange and maybe I'm going to make it red. That works. If you wanted a different color red, you could go up here and scroll it around. But we're just going to go with the bright red and I'll change these oranges here as well to red. This one up here, red. Just using the document colors. Okay. So this one's pretty simple in terms of what you get for your little thing here. Now you can add other stuff. If you wanted to throw a little element down here, you know, we could throw this little click. It's coming up black, so I want it to be visible. So I'm going to click on that, make sure it's white. And you could say, hey, remember to subscribe. And you put your little, maybe put a little click here for the subscribe. But I'm going to keep it simple just for you guys. But there's all kinds of text stuff you can do if you want to add cool little like graphics here. You can also change the angle of the graphics if you want to. So you can play around with this a lot more than I'm playing around here. But I just wanted to show you how to get this end screen going. I'm just trying to delete this element here. So once this is done, you can do 20 seconds, click the download. It's going to download it as an MP4 video. And once it's downloaded, you now have a really cool end screen to add to your videos for when you are editing and uploading. And you want to throw this at the very end of your video. That's why it's called an end screen. And in our later tutorials, when I show you how to upload the actual YouTube videos, you're going to see how we're going to use these end screens to promote more of our content and, and get our viewers watching more of your videos. So if you're interested in learning how to start uploading videos on YouTube, I'm going to pop another video over here. Make sure to go and watch that video and don't forget to give me a thumbs up if you like this content.
