I prefer the acoustic over the electric because it's just what speaks to me. There's some people who prefer, you know, electric guitars and playing, you know, guitar solos. For me, when it comes to guitar, I'm more of the singer songwriter type. I love strumming. I really love rhythm guitar. I love finger picking. Now, when I play the drums, that's like totally rock and roll. Like, I'm totally Guns N Roses, Aerosmith, Smashing Pumpkins. I'm totally rock on the drums because that's what I love for that instrument. But on the guitar, I really prefer the singer songwriter style. Now, can I grab an electric, like my Gretsch here and play a solo? Do I get in those moods? Sometimes I do, but for me, the acoustic was much more approachable to me from a songwriting perspective. And that's why I love playing the acoustic.
