A short YouTube clip in which Lauren Bateman stresses the importance of a consistent upload schedule: training your audience to expect content (e.g., weekly on Saturdays) increases viewer engagement and makes YouTube more likely to surface your videos. She uses a personal anecdote about students messaging her when she misses a regular posting time to illustrate the point.

Questions this video answers

Saturday morning.

Once a week.

Students. I've trained them now they expect a piece of content every Saturday morning. And if they don't see one, trust me, they get messaged me like, where's the song? And I'll be like, shoot, I forgot to post it. Like, I get people who reach out to me, like, are you okay? You didn't post your video this morning. So teach your audience when you're going to release your content, even if it's just once a week. That helps YouTube, because people are expecting the content. They're going to look for it. And guess what? YouTube's going to show the video to more people.
