Kajabi Review 2024 - Is This Online Course Platform Worth It?

Lauren Bateman (creator) reviews the Kajabi all-in-one platform for hosting online courses, recommending it for course creators and coaches who want to avoid stitching multiple tools together. She describes Kajabi’s opt-in forms and tagging, email automation, PayPal and Stripe integrations, clean course layouts, website and landing-page builder, podcast hosting, built-in coaching calendar and recordings, and a newly released community product (live rooms, events, paid membership). Bateman reports she has used Kajabi since 2020, upgraded from Teachable, and has done over seven figures in sales on the platform; she also mentions an affiliate link offering a 14-day free trial.

Kajabi is the ultimate all in one tool for hosting your courses online. I get so many content creators who get stuck because they don't want to get bogged down with all the technology of, you know, I got to build a website. What's the best mailing list thing that I should use? You know, how do I set up a funnel? You know, what are you using to host your courses? So many people ask me what, what software do you use to actually host post your courses? Whenever people ask me these questions now my answer is Kajabi. I have been using the Kajabi platform since 2020. I upgraded from teachable and while it's a little bit more expensive, it is definitely worth all the bells and whistles that are included in it. Meaning it has a website builder, right? It has a mailing list. You can actually build all your funnels right in there, all your landing pages. You can do opt in forms. It even has a brand new which I'm going to show you guys some behind the scenes for in a little bit. Now. I've done over seven figures in sales on the Kajabi platform. So what I'm going to do in this video is I'm going to give you in kind of like the cliffnotes version, a broad overview of the functions in Kajabi that I think are awesome for coaches or course creators. There's lots of different functionality within this platform and I love that everything is in one place. I don't have to go logging into five different softwares now. If you're someone who's interested in learning more about Kajabi, I will put my affiliate link in the description below. You guys can go and start with a 14 day free trial, but let's get into the overview right now. So a big thing I do here on YouTube and other social media platforms is I'm often giving away some sort of lead magnet to get people off of YouTube to go over to my website and fill out some sort of opt in. And this is why I love Kajabi because it's really easy to create opt in forms. All right? It's really easy to put an opt in form embedded on your website and set up an email sequence. So basically someone will go from a YouTube video, I'll say, hey, go get this free lead magnet or you're going to learn this amazing thing over here. People go to the opt in form, they put in their email and then I can automatically send them the download. And what I can do is then put on an email series that follows up with them. Okay. And try to sell them on one of my courses and offers. Remember, most people aren't going to buy from you right away. They need to be warmed up. So being able to follow up with someone automatically in an email sequence is a great thing. And also when you put people into these opt in forms, you can also tag them. So maybe you want to tag them about what that opt in form was so that you down the road, when you want to mail out something, an offer, you can see which opt ins they came in from and if it's related to a course. So say, for example, I did an opt in recently on finger picking on my guitar channel. Well, guess what? I have a finger picking course. So anyone who goes in and does that opt in, I know they're interested in finger picking. I have a finger picking course. But if I do another course around finger picking, I know that these people who came in through this opt in form specifically want information on that technique. The next thing that's great about Kajabi is that it seamlessly integrates with PayPal and Stripe. So if you have a PayPal account and or Stripe account, I recommend doing both. Okay. Some people are like, sorry, should I, should I just do PayPal? Should I just do Stripe? Do both. Because people do use both and I definitely get payments from PayPal every month, every week actually, and Stripe every week. So my recommendation would be to set up an account on both and offer each of them as a payment option. This way you can increase your sales to as high revenue number as possible. The next thing that's great about Kajabi is the course formats themselves. They're very, very clean. Most of the online gurus that I have taken courses from, I'm talking about people who run $100 million companies, they use Kajabi, all right? And they must be using Kajabi for a very good reason. Whether they're using Click Funnels or you know, Sam Cart or something else for like their checkouts or their funnels, most of them are using Kajabi to host the actual courses. So that should tell you something in itself, the layouts and the formats are very easy. I've used multiple course formats myself from other coaches I've taken courses from. And I always like the sleekness and the cleanness of the Kajabi design. But not only can you host your courses there, it could also host your entire website. Kajabi has some really great landing page templates, sales page templates, homepages. It's much easier to build a Website on Kajabi, you don't need to know any HTML or any really technical mumbo jumbo. It's very easy to add images, type in text. So if you wanted to just host everything in Kajabi, you could do that very seamlessly and very effortlessly. If you're a podcaster, you can host your podcast directly onto Kajabi. And the same for one on one coaching, Kajabi just added a calendar where people can go in and schedule one on one coaching calls with you. So it's a great way, if you're doing that type of one on one coaching for you, to manage your schedule, get people to come in. And what it will do is it will record those calls for you. So before I used to do coaching calls on Zoom and I'd have to go in, I do the coaching call and afterwards I'd have to download the call and then upload it and send it to them while in Kajabi, it records it all right there in the Kajabi platform. You don't need to use Zoom anymore. It sends them the link, they come in, you record it, and Kajabi will automatically upload it to the Coaching platform, which is great for you because it saves you a lot of time and it's great for the person you're coaching because they now have an account that will have all the recordings housed right in house for them. But my favorite feature of Kajabi is the new community that they have released. I talk about community on YouTube and how it's so important. If you really want to make money on YouTube and make money as a coach or a course creator, you gotta build a community. And this in itself is worth the cost of Kajabi. I have created this community, works a lot like Facebook and it's great way to chat with your students, have them chat with, with each other. They have a live room again, so you don't even need Zoom. You can go in the live room and you can record these things to make them available for replay after the fact. All right? You can do different challenges. You can even create a calendar of events and they can add those events to their Google Calendar. Now, the great thing I love about the community is that I can charge people in addition to my courses. So I have my course and now I'm charging extra for this monthly community for people to have access to me to go do The Q&As and everything else that's in this community platform. Now, we all know that the most money made online is through your mailing list. So if you want to know the two types of funnels you should be building within the Kajabi platform to grow your mailing list, go check out that video right over there.
