A short YouTube guitar lesson by Lauren Bateman teaching how to play 'Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door' (Bob Dylan). The instructor presents a simple four-chord progression (G, D, Am, C) and a basic strumming pattern (four down strums followed by an up) suitable for beginners, then demonstrates the song with sung lyrics.
G, D, A minor (Am), and C.
Four down strums followed by an up (count: down, down, down, down, up).
Today I'm going to be teaching you. Knocking on Heaven's Door by Bob Dylan uses four simple chords. Great song for beginners. A G chord, a D chord, an A minor chord and a C chord. Alright. And it also has a very, very simple chord progression that's easy to remember and easy to sing along with. So, strumming pattern. We're going to be doing four down strums, followed by an up. So it's going to be 1, 2, 3, 4, 4. And 1, 2, 3, 4. And down, down, down, down, up. Mama, take.
This badge off me?
Cause I.
Can'T use.
It anymore?
It's getting dark, too dark to see?
Feels like I'm knocking on heaven'.
Knock, knock, knocking on heaven.
