Transcript of a Lauren Bateman performance of the song “Guardian Angel.” The speaker introduces the song as one she wrote for an aunt diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, notes the aunt was given about one year to live and later passed, and then sings/recites repeated lyrical lines about carrying the aunt’s memory and her watching over the singer. The clip appears to be an on-stage, album-track performance with spoken dedication and song lyrics.

Oh, get worse.
All right, so this song is a very special song. Sorry about that. It's on my album, and I wrote it a while ago for an aunt of mine that was unfortunately diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
She was given. Oh, ouch. Sorry on that. She was given one year to live, and she lived about a year, and she passed. But before then, I was able to write a song for her just to let her know that everything was going to be right before she leave. Before she left. And that's this song. It's called Guardian Angel.

And I know no matter where I go you're watching.
Over me.

You're so young and you have so much more life to give.
