A play-along guitar lesson video by Lauren Bateman for Simon & Garfunkel's song "Homeward Bound." The transcript includes brief instructional cues (capo on 2nd fret), an invitation to watch a longer lesson, and continuous sung lyrics/chorus lines intended for viewers to play along with the instructor.
Hey, guitar enthusiasts. Welcome to my play along lesson for Simon and Garfunkel's Homer Bound. Don't forget to have a capo on your second fret. You're gonna have an opportunity to play along with me as I taught the song in my lesson. If you need to go watch that lesson, you'll go check that out in the link up there. But we're gonna get started right now.
One, two. Ready and.
And. Sitting in the railway station Got a ticket for my destination.
On a tour of one night stands My suitcase and guitar in hand and every stop is neatly planned For a poet and a woman band.
Home abound.
Showers.
Home abound.
Home where my thoughts escaping Home where my music's playing Home where my love lies waiting silently for me.
Every day's an endless stream of cigarettes and magazines.
Each town looks the same to me the movies and the factories and every stranger's face I see Reminds me that I long to be.
Home about my showers.
Home about.
Home where my thoughts escaping Home where my music's playing Home where my love life's waiting Silence silently for me.
Tonight I'll sing my songs again I'll play the game and pretend.
But all my words come back to me in shades of mediocrity like emptiness and harmony I need someone to comfort me.
Home abound shower.
Home abound.
Home where my thoughts escaping Home where my music's playing Home where my loved ones waiting silently for me.
Silently for me.
Leave me a comment below. Let me know how you made through on this play. Play along. Were you able to do it? If not, remember, you can always slow down the settings cog. And if you're interested in playing along to more songs like this with me, I have an entire list of play alongs right over there. See you guys in the next lesson.
