I have Shopify, which I use to sell my merch and stuff, and they do a lot of the encryption of the data and the payments. So unless you've got people sending you checks in the mail, using a good software is usually going to help you with encrypting data. Now, you want to make sure when you have employees or other people working in your business, most people are solopreneurs, but if you have someone else in the business, you want to make sure that you restrict points of access, that they don't have access to customer addresses and stuff like that to protect your consumer.
